Anyone know how to tell if the 2000 Topps ROY Promot Tom Brady card is real or RP?

Hello everyone,

(Sorry, headline should say Bowman, not Topps)
Below is a RP version of what is a pretty rare Tom Brady RC. It is the 2000 Topps ROY Promotional card, has a large gold stamp on the front and the back is a promo contest. If TB was voted ROY, you'd submit this card and get some rare stuff from Topps. Anyway, the real ones and fake ones do not seem to have markings on them.

Anyone know how to tell if you have a RP Or a real one? I recently bought one and the person did not seem to know what he had, and I could not tell if it was real or a RP so I just took a risk. But now I am dying to figure it out.

That pic isnt the ROY version...

Most the reprints I have had do not have the gold etched foiling....

That card was probably bought off Etsy for $5 - $10. The reprints look just like the original including the gold foil stamping.

They all have etched foiling and they are all gold.

I'm not so sure you're going to get a response by someone on here without PMing them and sending a picture. Most that know these types of things keep it to themselves. The main reason is the information could be used to make better fakes. Maybe ask some of the fellas in the TB12 rookie thread or BODA by DM

It was an answer. You asked what you had, then couldn't be bothered to post a pic. So you post an eBay link. The card on eBay is fake. You can buy that exact card on Etsy all day for $10 or less.

Use some common sense, post a pic of your exact card if you want an exact answer.
