I have noticed a trend of a lot of comments telling you what you have is basically worthless, which is why there is a market for low end.
I sell at least $50K+ a year in just paper card lots, but mostly 1st Bowman / Bowman Draft prospect type paper. However, I do sell a lot of base/common lots of the same card as well. Products like base Topps or Topps opening day have a market in 10-50 count lots of players. Plus the more you list, the more likely to sell because people can buy multiples of their teams/players. The last non-Bowman product I opened and sold player lots was 2020 Topps Opening Day. I listed 200 sets worth of player lots and so far have sold 13,000 cards for $2,400. I have sold at least one lot of 25 cards of 170 of the 200 players as well. That is over $.18 per card. There are a lot of buyers on these forums that want to buy your Trout/Judge/Ohtani/Acuna/etc. for $.10 per card but you can get at least 3-5x that in lots on ebay. If you put the time into it, it will pay off, but if you don't have the time or don't want to do the work to sort then the low prices people are throwing out are probably in line because someone else will have to do the work. If you want to invest the time I would be happy to share some other things I have learned over the years. |
