Wow - Jay (Jason) Groome.

12th overall pick out of high school in 2016… would have been higher, but for bonus demands and signability concerns. TJ + lost COVID season = soon-to-be 24-year-old with a 4.60 ERA and 11-20 W/L record and 225 total innings under his belt - none above AA. Meanwhile, Corbin Burns and Bieber get taken in the 4th round.

Apparently HS pitchers are hard to predict

Hard to pass on a lefty with a workhorse build, velocity, and a nice curveball. But always a ton of risk with those HS arms.

The Tigers are taking it extremely slow with Jobe! Ty Madden has been holding his own so far this year.

You know volpe is playing well when mwash is silent...man does it ever make me root for guys (especially good kids like volpe) when people go on a crusade here posting anything negative they can find. Hope that kid turns out to be a star, and I have nothing but some 1st base and chrome of him.

Not Jaypers but I am a Guardians follower. Update given yesterday was that there is no time table to pitch again but he is throwing after shoulder and knee soreness
