Default Restaurant at the show?

Does anyone know what the food situation is like at Atlantic City? I know in Chicago they had a cafeteria where you could order food and sit down. Didn’t know what to expect in AC. Trying to figure out if I should pack a lunch, or just buy food when I get there..

I believe it's just those really over priced walk up counters. There is a large shopping area across the street from the convention center with food options

If you want to save a few bucks, stop at a local Wawa and order some sub/sandwiches and snacks.

The difference between that and a nicer AC dinner is a fair amount of card money

Solid call. Whenever the National was in Cleveland I'd hit the Walmart near my hotel, grab a sub at their deli in the morning, and just carry it with me for lunch. $5 and I'm living well.

It is New Jersey. They are hoagies. Don't get laughed out of Wawa.

If we're talking subs, you HAVE to order from White House Subs. Not sure if they deliver r if they do Door Dash or GrubHub, but if you're getting a sub in AC, get it from there.

Another suggestion for a grab and go place: Tony Luke's at the Trop has good cheese steaks

For a sit down sports bar, Chickie's and Pete's in the Trop. The Crab fries are delicious.

Tony Luke's is fantastic. I've only eaten at the original in Philly, so I'm not sure how good their chains are.

NJ is weird. Depends on where you live. North Jersey is subs, south Jersey is hoagie, central Jersey where I live you hear both. I live in such a strange state. LOL

Are we really arguing whether AC Wawa employees use the term hoagie? Trust me, they do.

There are food options all around that Convention Center area. I suggest you pull up the center on Google Maps and just look around at the surrounding streets. It is only a 15 minute walk to the ocean/boardwalk from there, and there's a shopping district in between.

Is there any limits to the food that we can bring into the cc? Just asking as we know bag checkers can be very strict at certain events.
