Awesome! Round 1 is getting hard to find yet cards remain relatively cheap still. He’s definitely on the MMA Mt. Rushmore.

Lost faith with MMA but respected Dana for at least coming out and saying it wasn’t his call and how much he despised the decision.

GOAT? Maybe. The steroids thing hurts him. He also ruled over a fairly mediocre Middleweight division. For instance Chris Weidman would be a large favorite and very likely beat everyone Silva did during his reign as well in addition to owning Silva the entire 12:34 they shared a cage together. He actually handily dispatched two of them in Maia and Belfort.

I don’t know enough about UFC/MMA but how would Khabib not be considered the best ever?

His early record was filled with nobodies that pad his record

He did not defend his title that much nor clear out the division.

Silva, GSP, Jones and Mighty Mouse all were double digit defending champs.

No one he beat prior to coming to the UFC even has a Wikipedia page lol. Oh and he lost to Gleison Tibau. And one of his title defenses was against freaking Al Iaquinta lol.

It's an interesting conversation that's for sure. I just know that for years I was sick of hearing about how Fedor was the greatest fighter ever. Glad that discussion trailed way off.

He was till he got old just like everyone else that eventually losses.

GSP fought mostly bums and was scared to fight anyone good later.
He only came back to fight Bisping because its an easy fight and wanted no part of anyone else then quit right after because that's the bitch that he is.

GSP only beat midgets and bums.

Dude can't even finish bums like Hendricks and Condit, Koschek.

So what disqualifies you from being a bum in your book? Because obviously becoming a champion doesn’t do it.

Face it, GSP would never fight anyone dangerous to him.
He would never fight Khabib or Isreal, probably was scared of Woodley too.

All the guys he beat have a million losses.

Lucky for him that division was so weak back then.

Johny Hendricks had a single loss when they fought. Josh Koscheck had a single loss when they fought the first time. Jon Fitch was on a 16 fight winning streak when they fought. Jake Shields was on a 15 fight winning streak when they fought; he also ended up beating the boogeyman Tyron Woodley that GSP was allegedly terrified of.

And sure he never fought anyone that was dangerous to him yet he rematched and beat both guys who beat him. Twice in the case of Matt Hughes. But don’t let your blind hatred and hypotheticals get in the way of facts.

Everyone was undefeated at one point....
Beating Koscheck and Hendricks looks laughable now.

Who did Koscheck beat?
90% bums.

Same with Hendricks...all bums fights wins.

I used to think GSP was great too but when you look dig deeper its just a weak era for that division and gsp ducking anyone that would destroy him later on.
