Well at least they can change Topps Now Road to Opening Days sets for players no longer on the team. When it was first announced, the Yankees set had Luke Voit in it. I received my set today and no Luke Voit card.

My parallel was a Purple /25 of Josh Donaldson.

Got my first RTOD set in of the year today. I snagged a Royals one hoping against hope that they'd sneak Witt in. No dice, but a nice 5/5 Salvador Perez was fun regardless. My Red Sox set has shipped and it looks like the auto shipped as well which is a big improvement if true, but no world on Braves or Rays yet.

Expect a yellow note in the package stating the auto will deliver later or something along those lines.

It's odd I was able to purchase just the auto portion without the base set and I just got shipping notification on mine as well.

No, when you selected the autograph variant, you were selecting both the base set and the autograph. There was no "auto portion without the base set".

I appreciate you telling me I’m wrong but the first couple minutes there was a bug that allowed you to checkout with just the autograph component. My total for the 3 autographs was $509.97 without discounts and would have been over $600 with the base sets included.

Here’s how my confirmation looks. I purchased the Angels auto sets awhile later and they closed the issue and required me to purchase the base sets also.

same for me too. I was able to check out just the auto set without the base set

Yep - that's exactly what I just got for my Red Sox set.

Strangely, I actually received two sets when I only ordered one. And only one of the two had the yellow slip. Not entirely sure what's going on there.

Well I do apologize, I didn't know that happened. I did now just get shipping notification that also listed both base and autograph for Rays. As opposed to other shipping notices that listed only base set. I wouldn't be surprised if that's just an error in their system though.

Last night featured some of baseball's biggest stars making some personal history in their already impressive careers!

Toronto Blue Jays first baseman Vladimir Guerrero Jr. struck for the very first walk-off hit of his MLB career - a 10th inning RBI single that capped off a four-hit night for the 23-year-old phenom. Guerrero Jr. also slugged the 16th HR of the season - good for 4th place among all American League hitters.

Over in Chicago, San Diego Padres third baseman Manny Machado had a night at the plate that put him in very elite company. The 29-year-old collected three hits in the 19-5 landslide win over the Cubs, including his 1,500th career knock. Machado joined the 1,500-hit, 250-HR club, only the 17th player in MLB history to do so before his 30th birthday. That elite group includes legends like Hank Aaron, Mickey Mantle, Lou Gehrig and current stars Albert Pujols and Miguel Cabrera.

I think the bug on the auto component was correct actually and Topps just screwed up the pricing. I got the auto Red Sox set and they sent me two sets one listed as the base and the other as the auto component (yellow note of course), but i only ordered the auto set. Regardless, I've now got an extra Red Sox set if anyone wants to trade for another team.

Topps confused themselves with the new way of having separate line items for the base and the auto, so the packer(s) and/or printer got confused and doubled up.

Who were your parallels? I'm looing for Whitlock (my set hasn't been delivered yet thanks to FEDEX messing up).

Yeah I was pretty much thinking the same thing. Parallels were Story and Bogaerts both /49.

Sending out a bunch of extra sets (apparently) really screws with the whole idea that they published the supposed print runs after sales closed...

I got the same email for the Yankees set. Problem is, I was forced to purchase the base set (49.99) and the auto version (129.99)-- total 179.98. Received both in the same envelope (auto version had the yellow card). Now they want me to send back the base set for 25.00 store credit. Is it April Fool's Day?
