Why Vintage Pokemon is a better market than sportscards. As blue chip as you can get.

No injuries.
Difficult to get mint/gem mint vintage.
Strong marketing.
Characters just keep getting stronger . No late retirements.
Collector base is everyone. Not just weirdos .

I just wanted to see the 1965 Topps Football cards. I guess grade only cares about showing off high value cards. I could care less about a $500 pokemon card, would rather see a $50 common high grade common SGC card...

Hobby the way you want. No problem with it at all. I enjoy the prospecting (gambling).

sold my vintage sports stuff in 2021 on PWCC. The vintage sports collectors are fading away. The future is what the next generation considers vintage. For sports it is the 1980's and newer.

That is just how it is.

Another good thing about Pokemon. The whole family enjoys collection and busting Pokemon packs. That is what i found out. Nothing beats having the whole family having fun.

Glad it is something you and your family enjoy together. My 2 kids probably would like Pokemon better too

So you wanted advice on if you should reslab cards that you sold in 2021? You have those cards in SGC slabs, but they are all commons and you are too embarrassed to show them. I could care less about value of cards, but to you it is the most important thing. You think a base 10 Gem Mint Wander Franco is the future? Please STFU!

My nephew is 13 and has a vintage collection, but vintage is fading away according to you. Have you seen a card show and all the young kids getting into vintage with their parents? Even the flippers are buying vintage because modern crap is overprinted, and everything goes from pack to penny sleeve.

I am going to go have some Scotch because your nonsense is hurting my head. Please spend money to crack open and send your $5 1965 Topps to PSA for $50. It is a wise investment.

They break modern Pokemon. They enjoy it.
I like sports cards but Pokemon is a family thing. Family is much more important.

Triggered. lol

I used that slab cause id did not send that to PWCC, That is a oversized slab to cover the valuable cards underneath. Get that in your vintage head.

13 yr old vintage collectors are going to be lonely. Get him in the ultra modern socially world.

Just to let you know. you keep un bring up Franco. Sorry dont have any, you probably have more franco rookies than me.

People have been predicting the end of vintage for 30 years at least.

You think selling off 50s and 60s to sell 80s is a good bet? Good luck to you.

Are you a shoe flipper too?

I collecting 1990's at the moment.

Like fine art, the top end will always bring in money. But are you in the top end of collectors? I never will buy a vintage Ferarri or Picasso , so i dont even care about it. People talking vintage, do anyone here own a $1,000,000 Vintage card? I dont even keep track of modern cards that sell for $100,000+, that is not my comfort zone. I just enjoy cards in the hundreds , thousands and maximum $10,000 area. Anything over $10,000 i have no interest.

Vintage Japanese. Waiting for the Japanese public to catch on to collecting, it has started. And the world is beginning to catch on that Japanese Pokemon is the real original pokemon cards.

Anyone else having issues with SGC slowing down considerably? Tomorrow will mark 35 business days on a six-card vintage soccer order. This is at the $30 level, so supposedly 20-25 business days. Pinged customer service a week ago and no response, no movement. It’s still marked only as received.

Can't remember/don't care who was arguing with me that PSA would be lowering their prices...

Yep, and just like I said it came with all sorts of trashy caveats

$30 a submission, but DV is $299 and it's gotta be submitted through a group submitter and it's gonna take 3 to 4 months and it won't be graded until the backlog is complete.

Yeah odd. Had a $30/ per, 6 card order delivered to SGC 5/20 and received the cards back today, (in hand), 6/8.

This is not true. It is $499 DV and you can submit yourself.
