We talked about this we knew none of those rookies were going to show up on series 2. Series 2 was printed in march. Topps has non included opening day rcs in 2 years not going to change now

While we can't know anything for sure, the closest thing to a sure thing is knowing which players will have RC logo cards in which year. The Topps Now logos give us that information. Starting with Rutschman and Gorman, they did not have the RC logo and will be in 2023. But those before them, Witt, JRod, Abrams, etc... all have the RC logo on their Topps now cards and therefore there is basically a 100% chance they end up in 2022 products.

So much for everyone who thought the MC factory set would be loaded.

Well, I don't consider the factory set or 20 card sets as free. It is part of the membership fee. Sure, we get early access to some products but we still have to pay for the product.

I collect them sealed. The first set would always be the one to own, anyway. With the lower print run and all. I am looking forward to my 2022 one.

Maybe they'll release a $200 stamped Montgomery "Update Set"

I’m probably tempting fate with this but has anyone received any cancellation notices for Bowman Sapphire today? Seems like the posts about it have stopped.

Not in the clear until you receive the shipping notification.

Yepez was on the playoff roster, which counts in the eyes of the MLB even though he did not get into the game. That's why he's in pack-issued products already.

As one of the original 15 or so F1 fans on this site pre-topps cards, I told everyone the same thing. 2020 will be massive 2021 will show signs of fall off, and it will go down from there.

People arent excited about Yuki and Schumacher, the only rookies in the set. Everyone else is a second year card. This year we get another pay driver RC. Next year we figure to get Piastri who is a semi exciting prospect but you are looking at 3-4-5th year cards. It ends up being like NASCAR where you can pull some really cool stuff but it doesn't move at massive prices. Mix that with the current economical pull back and it should fall below MSRP in reality.

The guys who started 'watching' F1 when they made money off 'Hewis Lambleton' or 'Max Verflappen' say thats not true because of the European Markets......which allegedly dont have the ability to see the same thing all american sellers and buyers see.

Do you think the 2020 products like the Sapphire box will hold value or do you think that comes down eventually also?

I see a bunch of people panic selling. $1k was the natural landing spot after release IMO. Singles sales are unbelievably soft!

I could see it coming down a little more still, but only because very few people are buying right now

If so, it would make Topps Chrome Update SAPPHIRE highly desirable

Would be cool if Topps quit the Ponzi scheme and refunded for Bowman Sapphire.

I do agree that as more sets come out, it will be very similar to NASCAR in that regard. Great for the fans, but terrible for the flippers.

Schumacher has the name, but his performance this season certainly hasn't helped interest in his cards. Figure Piastri will go to Alpine and get Latifi out of there. Pourchaire possibly next season as well?

I largely agree, from this point on until we get a big talent come through I think every release just brings dilution. The 2020 stuff of the very top guys (Hamiltom, Verstappen, Leclerc) should still be mostly ok but I feel a lot of the mid / lower end of the grid is still too high even when it comes to singles.

So much of F1 is determined by what team they are on. If you're not on Red Bull, Ferrari, Mercedes right now you're pretty much going nowhere. Maaaaaaaaaaaaaaaybe Mclaren can get somewhere. Those teams also all have a youngish driver now so it will be hard for any of the rookies to breakthrough unless they're really really good.
