I'm a buyer of nice Bron case hit inserts at the right prices. He's a polarizing player, that's fine, doesn't change the fact I've enjoyed his career and enjoy collecting his stuff.

Lebron had a weird catalog of cards at weird price points.

Are non-rookie Exquisite patch autos really worth a car? No.
Are non-rookie Chrome refractors/golds really worth a car? No.

I could go on and on.

He has roughly as many cards out as Kobe while Kobe’s first card came out 7 years prior to Lebrons. Lebron isn’t present in any of the 90s sets, the 2000-2010 sets are largely junk, and then Panini just bastardizes cards year in and year out.

Honestly there are just too many 5 figure cards of Lebron when the selection doesn’t necessarily facilitate that.

I would say out of all the “GOATS” that Lebron suffers the most from over saturation and has the least desirable catalog to choose from. He’s a difficult player to really collect.

Tuesday morning trolls are the best. Certainly a lot of factors play into prices. There's a war going on, inflation, crypto, NFT's, etc etc. Less money to spend on LeBron Chrome and MJ Fleer. Anyway.. for me it's 1. MJ 2. LEBRON. That probably doesn't change except when Luka enters the top 3. And when that time comes there will always be an ongoing MJ/LeBron/Luka debate!

Just like Lebron with Kyrie, Dwade, Bosh, and Davis. Amongst all 4, Gasol might not even be as good as Bosh.

I get it, people dislike LeBron. Totally understandable. However, we seem to forget how much people hated MJ back in the day, though. LeBron is unquestionably on the Mount Rushmore of basketball and is either 1a or 1b. I agree with pingbling, it's easy to trash the guy now that he is in his twilight years, but the force of nature he once was (in every aspect of his game) is undeniable. In his prime, he had no weaknesses. The last 1-2 playing years of an all-time great always brings out the haters, but I have a feeling he'll age just fine. He's an easy hold.

People hated MJ for different reasons. LeBron could play another 10 years, win three titles, and score 50k points. Wouldn’t change a thing for me and plenty others.

Brutal take.

I understand that superstar is subjective but Love and Kyrie are multiple time all-stars and all nba players. Most people would consider that superstars status. Bosh may be the only one that is borderline. Only one all nba but multiple all-star games (11). If he’s not a superstar he’s damn close.

As for calling Wade a borderline superstar, that’s beyond ridiculous. 8 all nba teams, 3 all defensive teams, scoring Champ and finals mvp……not only was he a superstar, he’s borderline all time great/icon.

The Cleveland Cavaliers.

LeBron is pretty overrated. I don’t like him either.

His cards will continue to drop another 25-50%.

Honestly, you should sell his rare cards while you can.

On a separate note, if anyone is selling a 03-04 UD Finite Level 1 or 03-04 Bowman Chrome refractor for a good price, PM me.

Well said, not a huge fan either but he inspired a lot of players. Also brought an influx of cash to the sport through different avenues.

A lot of people in the basketball hobby now are actually too young to know how good Wade and Bosh actually were,,,,

I was a big Lebron fan early in his career. I was genuinely happy for him and Cleveland when he went back there and won.

Since then he has become the biggest idiot. He’s just a narcissist that refuses to take responsibility for any of his numerous failures.

Dude, you sound like you've been through this before.

Still the first rodeo for a lot of folks around here. It's easy to lose excitement for a guy in the twilight of his career, only to see his legend get Paul Bunyanized after his playing career.

-Look at Griffey. He was bloated and left for dead in the hobby after age 30, and now he's on top again.

-Shaq stuff never got any appreciation until about 2 years ago

-I don't even need to get into how Kobe went from having the reputation he had to now having statues, murals, and awards named after him.

This isn't a prediction about which cards will do best... I imagine there will be some surprises both ways (2019 Prizms base may not hold up!), just that as time goes on, his legacy grows (like it does for all the greats).

Wade and Bosh were ballers.

On a separate note, those same people are less likely to know that MJ played with 3 other HoFers (Pippen, Rodman, and Kukoc). That list doesn’t even include Grant, Kerr, etc.

Again, none of those players ever suffered from the problems LeBron does.

Players ego's (all sports) are more inflated today than ever before. I can see why Lebron thinks that people care about what his thoughts are on foreign policy along w/ his acting "skills". The combo of social media, global stardom, and more money that GOD...you get a recipe for disaster. Jordan was a lot smarter than Lebron. He keep knew when to keep his mouth shut.

So who are you comparing Kukoc to? Wade or Bosh? Because either way you go, Kukoc was nowhere in the same stratosphere as the same player those two were. (In the NBA at least.)

Griffey? Guy had his own set of problems:

-Legit 10 year drop of being nearly irrelevant
-Never won a title
-Fell asleep during a game
-Never came close to breaking the record (Home Runs) he was destined to break
-Played in the era where everyone is under the suspicion of PEDs.

Yet the hobby has forgotten all of this and he's top 1 or 2 in the hobby over the last 50 years.

Is it better to not speak up about any issue or to speak up and be wrong sometimes?
