Default Kobe 1997 Star Power Supreme on Ebay

This star power supreme looks pretty sharp but how did this grade a 9 when the shooting star on top is pretty much all peeled off on this card. The shooting star should look exactly like the one on the bottom, but is nonexistent here.

Literally looks like someone intentionally peeled off the tail of the shooting star to make it look more presentable

BGS and PSA seem to not care about the surfaces about these. I made a thread on it a while back:

I just think the majority of graders are undertrained with regards to many 90s inserts with more nuanced/involved designs.

Gives me even more reason to buy cards, not slabs lol. Grading is a sham!!!

Always viewed grading as the biggest money grab when I got back into collecting. It's so obvious. How do many others not see it? Makes you wonder.

If we stopped caring about grading and altered cards, cards wouldn't be graded or altered. Kind of like an infinite loop. But pop control... okay.
