Last years print run was about 45K, the largest sapphire print run of any product @$150...I agree, hope the PR is down.

Topps lowering the PR would be unheard of. If anything they'll want to run the presses as much as possible. When is the last time a Sapphire public drop didn't sell out the 1st day?

Seems like 2021 Bowman Sapphire was up longer than a day last year but I could be mistaken.

I thought they did a raffle for this last year?

I think they should do that for every online release and I think 2021 Bowman Sapphire was the last time they did it.

I wouldn't be surprised if 2022 BCS has a lower print-run. Why? Because there's one guaranteed auto per box.

Last year's release seemed to be more of a last-minute money-grab decision (due to lack of autos). Non-auto products are easier to print mass amounts of too.

If I remember correctly the public drop was a disaster last year and they ended up doing a raffle the day after.

Good point. Forgot about the auto guarantee. Maybe they did lower the PR, especially if the one guarantee autos turns into 3-4 autos like the 2 parallels turned into 4 for BCS...haha

2021 Bowman also had 1 auto guaranteed. With a 45K print run.

66 subjects. 12500 color auto, 32,500 base autos (about 500 per player).

I’ve heard the horror stories, so before I order, has anyone had good luck getting Topps to correctly do a change of address in the event of a person moving? If so, we’re results better over the phone, editing on the website, etc?

I literally just changed my address for the 582 because I’m moving. I’ve read in the past that you have to call because sometimes doing through the website doesn’t work. I called and it took only a few minutes. It all seems good now when I sign into my account. I recommend you call at 9am when they open the lines so you don’t have a long hold time. Good luck

My comment was in reference to Sapphire Edition. There was not retail for 21' Bowman Sapphire.

Got it. It's possible that they print such a high amount but I still wouldn't be surprised if they don't either.

Personally, I don't like using past print-runs from other products (e.g., Bowman or Bowman Sapphire) to predict potential print-runs of something else (e.g., Bowman Chrome Sapphire).

But if they do, I'll look forward to picking up a couple during tomorrow's public release drop.

that’s right. it wasn’t like they magnanimously decided to do a raffle, the drop was a disaster so they pulled it and raffled off what they had left.

they’ve had equally disastrous drops since where they just let bots keep everything.

I recently moved 3-4 months ago and have surprisingly had no issues. I just changed my address on the site.

Address changes used to be terrible. I think they have it situated now but in prior years they would "complete" the 582 membership transaction instead of leaving it as "processing" like everyone should see now. This made it so you had to make a phone call and get someone who actually knew what was going on and what they were doing. Now you should be able to just update that order under "My Orders" and you should be good.

This doesn’t have anything to do with you guys updating your address, but apparently Topps has been clipping some MC accounts that were drop shipping boxes they flipped by changing the ship to address. Fine print says you have to receive the boxes you buy.
