Default CZX Crisis on Infinite Earths: Oversized Ebay Exclusive Cards

Just got an email from Cryptozoic on this. My apologies for the large photos.

Would have much preferred these were pack inserted.

Trying to load photos at the moment.
The last time they did these was for Outlander. If this is anything like those, The /30 cards will go in seconds. I’ve usually had luck with the /99’s though. I’ll be on a plane when these go live so I’m out…

They did. It was a really good deal. I noticed that was different for these. Big difference in box prices between the 2 though. Box stock is probably long gone for this also

I don't understand what Cryptozoic gets out of these being eBay exclusives.

Also, what does crash-numbered mean and is it different than traditional serial numbering?

No website crashes.

No difference. They'll be serial numbered 1-99 /99, etc.

Man, if those autographs were Melissa Benoist as Supergirl with a Supergirl outfit swatch, I absolutely would try to buy one the second they went on sale only to get massively frustrated to find they all sold out already and then swear at my computer as if it was the computers fault.

Good luck! I think I went after one of the Outlander cards. Pretty sure I was through checkout in less than about 7 seconds, and it was already gone. Bots gonna bot.

The same info is up at the Cryptozoic website:

https://cryptozoic.com/blogs/article...zed-ebay-drop1

Interesting that it says Drop 1.

Anyone manage to snag any of the autos? I totally forgot and now I'm curious how quickly the #/30 OS-MB2 and #/25 OS-MB3 autograph-wardrobe cards sold out.

The #/99 Oversized Wardrobe Card OS01 is still available:

https://www.ebay.com/itm/35405896595...EAAOSwFc9ifwGS

Here's the auction page for one of the #/5 OS-MB1 autograph-wardrobe cards, currently at $540:

I got the auto/wardrobe #'d/30... but they only sold 25 of them. They were attainable for anyone. Each lasted nearly 20 minutes, if I recall, as I checked back afterwards. Didn't care for the image on the /25.

Also, in reference to the 'Drop 1' comment above - I thought the same thing. There's NO WAY they didn't get these things done for her in the Supergirl costume. Just had to do the obligatory cash grab, first, probably.

This is, also, the first card I've purchased that's had to go through this 'Authenticity Guarantee' eBay garbage. Hopefully it really doesn't take a month to arrive, as the estimate says.

----------
Just went looking and can only get the listing page to show up for the /30 by clicking on my eBay purchases. Not sure how/why Crypto may have deleted the completed items? They don't show up for me at all in their sold/completed. Odd. Can't see the /25 to see if those lasted 20 minutes or a bit less.

I missed out out on the /30 (that they only sold 25 of) but was lucky enough to get the /25 (that they only sold 20 of). I was the underbidder on the /5 (that only 1 has been released of so far). Eventually I would like to get the /25 and /5 I missed out on.

I figure these are the first of a number of oversized cards to be released as I was flipping through the Non-Sport Update from a year ago (that has Crisis on the cover) and in some of the cards shown in the article there is a OS2 (oversized 2) of the Green Arrow.

I figured they did the same on that /25, and sold 5 less than made. I was thinking they were going to run 1 of the /5 wardrobe autos along with a new batch of other oversized, and that's cool if it ends up being of other main characters.

Mine is showing that's it's cleared the authenticity garbage (duh), and should arrive tomorrow. Seriously, is eBay giving these idiots money to look at obvious cards and say they're obviously real? What a freaking scam.

First of all I’m a liar. I said I wouldn’t buy one but I bought the card /25

Second of all…

Duh? Duh you say?? Ready for a plot twist! MINE FAILED INSPECTION! Haha. What? Actually eBay claims Crypto listed it wrong? Here’s what they said.

“We wanted to let you know that your order (below) is on the way, but unfortunately we can’t provide the Authenticity Guarantee you were expecting. The item was miscategorized when it was listed and isn’t eligible for this service. We know this may be disappointing and we’ve contacted the seller to let them know about the error in their listing.”

We all know this is authentication is bogus anyway so I don’t care about that. I’m just pissed it got shipped from California to Florida so they can say it doesn’t pass, and then ship it back to me in California wasting everyone’s time.

LOL! What did they list it under? Crypto deleted the listings, so they don't show up in completed and only those who bought them can see the original listings, from what I can tell.

So, what do they do with it now? Does it go back to Cryptozoic or are they sending it to you anyway?

It’s listed under Non Sports Trading Cards - Singles so I can’t find what they did wrong! I received a notice from FedEx so I believe it’s on the way to me.

The crazy thing to me is this appears shady as heck! How can eBay put AUTHENTICITY GUARANTEE on a listing and then say nope! Seems like they should authenticate before it’s even listed or just don’t put those words on the page. Makes it appear they are guaranteeing the items authenticity. Now we all know Crypto is legit so I’m not worried. It’s all just silly to me.

I'm not entirely sure what it solves. The scammers are still going to sell fakes, reprints and mis-represented sports cards whether it gets sent to a buyer directly or to this place. I suppose, in the long run, it may save some people who don't know what they're buying but recouping any of the funds from the sale has got to be, basically, impossible. They're eating tons of losses. No way these scammers aren't pulling funds asap after a sale and just sending off their junk to the 'guarantee' place (SGC, I think). By the time they figure out it's not legit, the money is probably long gone. It just smells of another hand trying to make a cash grab.

------ though, having not had to send anything to this place that I know of - do they hold funds until card(s) clear? I don't even know.

The same thing happened to me when I bought some X-Men Metal cards because the seller had listed multiple cards in a single card category and Authenticity Guarantee only applies to single cards. I have no idea why eBay couldn't foresee this being an issue.

The whole AUTHENTICITY GUARANTEE is stupid. I bought a quad diamond card from Marvel Black Diamond and got the same message that they couldn't authenticate the card because of the listing but they shipped the card on to me and it was the real card. This who Authenticity thing seems stupid and that the people running it don't know what they are doing.

Received the card yesterday! While I’m very happy with it, one of the selling points is a larger space to sign a bigger autograph. I placed a top loader over the signature and the autograph on these cards would still fit on a normal vertical autograph card. They needed to alter the design to accommodate a larger autograph. With the name and character text there restricting the space the autograph isn’t really any bigger. They needed to overhaul the design. Again, still love the card though.

They couldn't foresee it because Ebay is ran by muppets.
Seriously hope I never meet whatever idiot put together this program.

So I was browsing completed listings for CZX Crisis cards and it looks like only two Melissa Benoist Oversized Autograph-Wardrobe Card OS-MB1 have been auctioned off: 5/5 ended on May 29 and sold for $1,606.11 while 4/5 ended on July 25 and sold for $1,378.

Only one Grant Gustin Oversized Autograph-Wardrobe Card OS-GG1 was auctioned off: 5/5 ended on July 24 and sold for $1,1,52.39.

The Melissa Benoist Oversized Wardrobe Card OS01 is still available on eBay for $149.99 with 40 sold to date:

https://www.ebay.com/itm/354058965956

The Grant Gustin Oversized Wardrobe Card OS03 #/199 is also available for $149.99 with only five sold to date:

https://www.ebay.com/itm/354168335581

I wonder if Cryptozoic has given up on selling the oversized cards on eBay. If so, what's going to happen to the rest of the Benoist and Gustin cards that weren't auctioned off?

I am curious too. I picked up the /199 /30 and /25 of Benoist. Missed out on both the Benoist and Gustin /5.

In non-sport magazine when they were first previewing the set they have photos of an Oversized Arrow card as well so at least one was made. One would think the initial plan was /199/30/25/5 for each of the big 3 so have to figure the cards that they haven't sold yet exist at Crytozoic.
