G-Rod started but he was out before Gorman homered. Rodriguez finished with 5IP, 3H, 2BB, 1ER and 8Ks.

Yep, I got a little over zealous there!

He's so good, wonder when he gets the call. Can't be too overzealous with calling a stud young pitcher up to a team in a bad spot in a tough division, but doesn't look like that situation is changing anytime soon.

Not a bad day for Rodriguez, wish the Orioles would let him pitch a little deeper in games, still not getting much more than 80 pitches a start.

At this point I think it will depend on how much longer the rotation can pitch decently, although I'd swap him for Watkins right now. Still don't think he gets the call before Adley.

Yeah I completely get that, but it seems rare to see any starter get more then 80 pitches nowadays. What a strange era for these young guys.

Volpe 0-5 down to .167, the question is, not only how far he drops in the top 100 but does he get demoted to Hi-A. I keep hearing those reports that he cannot pick up the spin on the ball, if he can’t do that he may not make the majors. Could he have been had a fluke season and really is Cito Culver 2.0 all along.
