I’ve always liked the look of Tribute cards, but does anyone else get a 2011 Bowman Sterling vibe from this design?

Getting alot more into low number non 2019 Marco cards. Really like the look of this one.

And happy can still find pre 2018 Soto cards that are affordable and sharp!

Some nice pickups for my Vandy PC. Casali Father’s Day, Bowden Mothers Day. Casali Purple Sapphire. Rocker Electric.

One of the few Panini elite cards that doesn’t have “New York” on Rocker’s cards. Really pops in person.

I will add to the dual auto's. Picked this up on COMC for $66 and thought it was cool. Two possibly 3000 hit second baseman from the same team on the same card. It is still in my vault, but I believe it is on card for both. Can't see the sticker outline.

Just curious because those corners look pretty sharp.
I was told to be very skeptical of any 1933 goudey Ruth that was ungraded.

Purchased raw. I have it already packaged and will be going to PSA this morning. I am cautious and the seller was local to me, i know where they live so if it comes back as counterfeit i can pay them a visit

Starting to get the rest of the Heart Wave Die Cuts in. Only have one card left from the Masterpieces set to find and the 2021 Bowman Best set is complete. Might start looking to see which of the base autos I’m missing will be cheap to scoop up.

Corners are way to square for a card with that many creases. I would get a second opinion before sending that card to be graded.

Can you post a picture of the back of that card? I have a suspicion it is a trimmed and artificially aged 1977 Dover Reprint. I am 99% sure of this with the blue and yellow borders around the card and a specific print mark.

Edit: It is a Dover Reprint. Don't buy ungraded Babe Ruth's unless you know vintage.

You guys were right, it’s a reprint. I went and paid the guy a visit and got my money back. Good lesson for me me

My advice if you want to get into vintage is to buy commons of Goudey's, T206, etc... and get a magnifying loupe. I have tested this before and can pick out vintage cards based on smell alone. Cardboard from the 30's smells different.

I know quite a bit about vintage and spotting fakes. I don't think I would ever buy a 1933 Goudey Ruth that is not in a slab.
