Heart may have skipped a beat just moments ago (which may not been good since having a heart attack 3 months ago) but one of the orders finally move to Assembly this morning (took 6 months to get through Grading). Man my economies seem to be behind everyone elses

Part of me wants to see them bump economy allocation up to 40 per, but only if they keep TAs to 5-6 weeks consistently. Preferably 4 weeks tops.

It's an 8 card sub, it zipped through to grading 4/19 or 4/20...slow compared to the other economys that I have done.

Sent in two Economy orders recently. First was Entered 3/25/2022 and shipped 4/27/2022. The second was Entered 4/29/2022 and currently in Grading. Interesting to see that they are about a month apart but the Cert #s are 684,443 apart. Not sure how the 80% math works on the backlog here to keep the current 5 week turnaround time but either we are about to see a large slowdown in Economy or the backlog is really going to the backburner. PSA graded 826k cards in April so something has to give.

My guess is that they are devoting more than 80% of capacity to the backlog. Don’t think enough is currently coming in to take up 20%.

I looked up cards where the auctions ended in early April. Punching in certs for a few minutes, I saw stretches of hundreds that weren't used and stretches where it looked like they were all used. For a long time they skipped numbers; no idea why they'd do that again but that's my guess.

I have orders from mid-March with 642xxxx certs, and orders from April with 641xxxx certs, so they definitely don't run in chronological order.

That would certainly make sense and explain the large swing I'm seeing. Here are mine:

3/25/22 Entered - 64255xxx

Interestingly, I don't follow this closely, but PSA has done a good job of having economy events on tuesdays and thursdays. They also have done a good job of updating the dates for those events on their landing page.

As of right now, the landing page does still show the May 5th (thursday) event. Not sure if it's anything or not. More than likely not.
