Here’s the livestream video of the pull:
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=MKIXJtrp2XY

Looks like they need to try and split amongst a few people….good luck with that.

Was this a contest sponsored by whatnot? Looks like they invited some breakers to LA and if they pull the card they get a Lamborghini. People could enter for free on whatnot. Wow after all of those people spent thousands on spots, the card got pulled during a sweepstakes.

Here’s what I could find about the contest:

Yeah looks like it was a sweepstakes…go to 14 minutes in this video. They brought all of the influencers to their headquarters and gave them a free box to break on whatnot. Guy from whatnot says oh and drake will then just buy it from that person, seems so rigged for publicity.

Agreed. Completely overvalued. Hype around nothing. Non-rookie, non-auto, and can be recreated over and over as they will release more of these. Anyone who pays in the “million” dollar range for this card is a moron with cash to burn.

Maybe they somehow get screwed out of the card when they try to sell it.

Did anyone confirm if they pulled it for someone(s) or if for themselves? Wondering if it was pulled for someone else, is it being split three ways or if there’s a majority.

We've seen this before? Does it matter if they pulled it for someone else?

If this was rigged for publicity, they would have picked a more honorable group of people. They aren't the group you go to help publicize something like this.

Seems a little fishy to me.... could Whatnot paid panini to ensure it was pulled with them?

The sound matched the visions i had in my head when a buddy was telling me a story about a pig slaughter house. Not good.

I'd like to solve, Alex: "Who is Drake?".

Good for them. Couldn't have happened to a nicer group of individuals.

Money means nothing to some of those guys. I heard an F1 superfractor (PSA 7) sold for nearly a million.

I had the same thought at first as well. Then, looking at the list of breakers that they sponsored with boxes most of them use whatnot to live break in some fashion and they probably helped indirectly grow whatnot. A lot of these breakers got their business during the pandemic and so did whatnot. And all of them are under 30, have a lot of YouTube subscribers and promoted this contest heavily which is also free advertising for whatnot. If they picked a well known breakers, would they promote whatnot as much or promote their own business?

Too bad it wasn't Chris Justice from Cards Infinity. Nicest guy in the business.
