That room comes from Stott and Bohm becoming at worst league average players to fill likely 1B and SS cheaply. Also while I can appreciate going for the huge ceilings....the phillies really need to draft best college players available.....we cant wait 4-5 years to see guys get to the bigs. They also need to do much better in the international drafts/signing periods.

totally agree that they need some of the young guys to work out- I see Bohm and Stott going down the same path as Kingery, where the organization messes with their development by sending them back up-and-down to the minors, sticking them on the bench, playing them out of position, etc. Not everyone comes up and is an immediate superstar like Soto or Acuna, 99% of players take at least 2-3 years in the majors to develop into stars.
My only point is that they’ve got too many DH types- they just signed Schwarber and Castellanos to multi-year deals, so they can’t trade them. Maybe trading Hoskins is the answer, if it’s not Bohm. You probably get a better return for Bohm, but I agree there’s much more financial flexibility to keep him instead of Hoskins. |

If Bohm ever gets benched again for non-injury/non-prescheduled rest day I'm going to run on to the field and physically assault Girardi

I haven’t been that disgusted by a ballgame in a long time. I think it’s time to let Girardi go

While this team has many issues besides Girardi I don’t know how he is back in the dugout today.

I deleted the MLB and Yahoo Sports apps from my phone after last night. I need a break for a while, unbelievable.
Mets were 0-330 over the last 25 years when trailing by 6 or more going into the 9th.

Players need to be held accountable for this plain and simple.
But they won't be it will fall on Girardi and that's not to say it shouldn't he makes questionable decisions every game it seems. I was at game Tuesday and was far from impressed in person with this team, no situational hitting, guys swinging for fence with a cross wind and cold equals outs |

and signings in the off season that had me scratching my head. Same old problems with the bullpen too. Dave Dombrowski has not impressed at all.

I don’t know who replaces him, but I was on board with the hiring of Girardi and willing to continue giving him a shot right up until last night’s game. I really wanted and expected him to succeed but I honestly can’t think of a time where he made a savvy move that helped them win a game, and there are way too many times where he has clearly and simply just mishandled the pitching staff.
At the end of the day, I know the players are the ones who bear a lot of responsibility, but they need to shake up this team from the never-ending battle to merely reach .500, and replacing the manager (whose performance has been objectively mediocre at best) is the easiest way to do that. |

WIP is the reason Kapler is currently managing the Giants. They 100% ran him out of town.

I don't get it. Our bullpen sucked last year and the year before that too. Is it that hard to find a guy who can sit on his @s5% for 7 innings, come in and get three outs before giving up 12 walks and 9 runs?
I mean, look how hard it is to make the majors, the best of the best of the best only make it......I always hear about the hardest thing in the world to do is to hit a baseball...with that said, we can't find a guy who can close? I mean cmon.
