Default Received Panini Package with tape sealed broken and packs stolen...advise?

Hello guys -
I tried to perform a search for this with no luck...I ordered a 2021 Prizm Draft Picks baseball box, I saw the package was delivered by FedEx and left at my door (no sig required) but upon grabbing it the sealed tape was clearly tampered with and resealed. I recorded opening it (prob does nothing) and sure enough, they took the cards and left the empty box.

My question is, do I contact Panini first or FexEx for this? Any help is much appreciated!

You're probably out of luck. Not saying it didn't happen but that's a tough sell.

Yeah, figured as much, I can see how FedEx employees can get away with this when no sig is required. Sucks.

Fedex keeps getting worse.

I have read that PSA has been refusing a lot of Fedex packages that look like they may have been tampered with.

Wasn't there recently a bunch of SoCal folks (more LA area I think) who had Topps boxes torn open and packs opened? All were from FedEx...I think there were some folks talking about it in the 582 Montgomery thread.

All I know is the FedEx ground driver for our neighborhood frequently has someone following him to steal packages. No idea if they're working together or not, but the driver basically leaves packages on the sidewalk. Lost $1000 in packages in one day and they won't do anything about it.

Needing a sig isn’t a deterrent from someone opening the package and pilfering it.

Contact Panini. They need to put a claim in since they are the shipper.

Yeah California is a joke. Vegas, where I live, isn't far behind. I have had porch pirates steal a couple target shipments in the past, so I just got a box at the UPS store and haven't had any issues since. But if the carrier is complicit, that's a whole different story.

Yeah, apparently there's a known Fedex problem in Socal. Look in the Montgomery Club thread and definitely call them.

Package theft is obviously a problem across the country, so try not to turn yet another thread into an excuse to bash an entire state.

LMFAO what a homer lapdog. This is the same state where the cretins rob trains of all the Amazon wares. I am 100% sure "California is a joke" is an accurate statement. The people flee the state to move to Vegas en mass, not the other way around.

Nice job derailing a simple lost package thread into a political rant. You know, there's an OT forum for that.

BTW I receive ALL of my card packages just fine, even those clearly marked with names of hobby shops and card companies.

Happens everywhere. In the 10 years Ive been selling Ive only had packages lost/stolen in Delaware and Colorado.

Google FedEx news of stolen packages and see a whole list of thefts across the country. From their Hub in Memphis to The East coast and back. Actual hub employees, drivers and porch thieves. Going back years and years.

I had a BGS 9.5 Juan Soto Gatorade stolen from a package.

The thief replaced it with a 2020 bowman chrome x Anthony Kay.

I wouldn't waste time contacting Fedex. From my experiences, they won't be able to do anything and will ask you to contact the sender to file a claim. I've tried multiple times to file one myself since I know there's zero chance I'll be able to get Panini to answer a call much less file a claim and Fedex won't allow it.

I appreciate it, others have said the same. I was able to talk to someone at Panini (onlinesales) this am and they mentioned this has been happening multiple times over the past two months, only in California...really sucks. They opened a case with FedEx and said it should be resolved.
