Finally might pick up his Topps Chrome rookie, or maybe even refractor if I want to go in harder.
His legacy is already cemented as one of the best players to play, I don’t think his stuff should go down.

Yeah that is my point, it shouldn't go down, but there is a decent chance it does just based on normal trends if you look at card data in the playoffs and when people get eliminated. If it does happen I am a buyer. Even if it doesn't, KD has gotten cheap enough I would probably be a buyer anyway, to your point of his legacy already being cemented.

Especially if they lose the series to the timberwolves - that would be a major wrench

big IF at this point but if Luka can make it back and Dallas goes to the Finals, you'll see some big recovery in his prices. If Dallas were to somehow win the Finals, look out.

Otherwise the most obvious choices are Poole/Maxey.

I own zero Jordan Poole, but I get this feeling like he might be better than I thought. If the Warriors make a strong push, it looks like he might actually be a reason for it (not the sole or even main reason, but one of the reasons).

I can see him getting more hobby love going forward.

His prices are already getting ridiculous, almost day by day there is a significant jump. I just elected to pull a couple of the bigger pieces I have down because with the way this team is looking, the prices could jump significantly even from where they are now if they make the finals and Poole keeps it up.

Was planning on potentially offloading my bigger pieces (which at this point is well over x10 what I paid) but gonna hold as I don't have to sell and this team and Poole are fun to root for.

I bought a 2019-20 One and One Jordan Poole /99 for the PC last week.

I felt weird because I couldn't believe I dropped $200 for it yet I couldn't believe I only
paid $200 to acquire it.

That's a good price to pay for one, it's such a limited print run that those rookies will always hold great value. I have one myself and with the price I bought in for ($36), it's tempting to let it go now but I'm holding due to the belief that the One and One set will always hold some of the best value around.

I remember when people were writing off Poole on this board when he got sent down to the G league.

You're right that it's a good price based on the most-recent comp (e.g., below that sold price and w/o the eBay sales tax too).

I just remember how cheap they were and I didn't pick any up then. On the bright side, I picked up a Curry (have 2) for cheap before One & One starting uptrending.

Long-term, I agree with your outlook on this set. Limited print-run of a "high-end" set (wasn't originally high-end but it's definitely trended in that direction since) with beautiful images IMO.

I still think he's hyped up more than he should be IMO.

But, as a Dubs fan, I do love when he's on fire.

I'd assume it's the Booker Prizm rookie if they make it to the finals again, which is probably the safest bet according to vegas odds.

If Boston/Tatum can get past Brooklyn & Milwaukee, that's sure to jump up.

If Philly wins it all, could see Embiid/Harden/Maxey, all getting nice bumps.

If GSW wins, Wiggins/Klay/Poole would have the upside.

This year is different. Nothing is going to 3,4,5X like years past.

The highest risk highest reward play to me seems to be the timberwolves young stars

None besides the winning team. They will all go back down after they all lose and even more in the off season.

All the hype is gone.

Plus most of these teams have no chance in winning anyway.

11 of 16 teams are 11-1 or higher underdogs so not that wide open.
Maybe by opinion.

There's only 4 of 5 teams that can really win.

If Minnesota knocks of Memphis, Ant cards will def jump and there will be mega hype going into next year
