Got a chance to meet him a few years ago at one of the rinks my son’s team practices on. He was playing in a beer league with some friends of his right after our kids practice and as I passed by the room I recognized him right away. A true gentleman we talked for a few minutes as the Zamboni was scraping the ice, did not bother him for an autograph. But watched the first few minutes of the game and he is still an incredible player at his age. Merci, Mr.Bossy.

Amazing story and I'm glad you shared it. It's nice hearing stories about players who have retired and find time to say hello. Bossy was my favorite player growing up. As great as he was he was always living in Gretzky's shadow and wasn't talked about as much as he should have been.

Company I worked for a few years back brought Mike in at our year end meetings to talk about his story and his time playing hockey. Very open about his struggles as a junior and his dislike for the Oilers. Very nice man to speak to as well.
