I've been slowly collecting the 2020 Chrome base set for a while (lots of fun!) but I would have to say the secondary base cards are way underrated. The secondary set has much better photography, in contrast to the sometimes awkward portraits of the base set everyone else cares about.

I wonder if the 2021 chrome set will follow a similar format with 2 "base" subsets for each F1 driver

I don't think all of the 2021 Topps Formula 1 Flagship is bad product. The parallels of the portrait base cards 1-20, the variations, and the parallels inserts will continue to rise in value. Also, I think the foilfractors look incredible.

I’ve been looking at singles to add to my collection and was surprised to see how many refractors with psa 9 or 10 grades there were. I held off sending most of my refractors in for grading because a lot of them had the mark on the back and assumed it would drop it to an 8 or lower.

Curious if any of you guys have experience with grading the refractors? Wondering if psa was lenient with grading that imperfection since it seemed to be common. Or if the ones listed on eBay got lucky and didn’t have the mark?

What is with PSA grading the Orange /25 cards? They seem to be unwilling to go above an 8. Just sent in a clean copy that I thought had a chance at a 10, 9 at the worst and got slapped with an 8.

Maybe I'm missing something with them.

Is the back edge absolutely perfect? That seems to be the issue on almost all of the numbered cards.

I asked a similar question about how psa grades that edge because I was surprised to see so many 9s and 10s on eBay. Guess that answers it.

Why? Limited in house stock? They are roughly $3000 on eBay.

These prices are nutty.

Open them I’m actually in the same situation as you! I’ve currently got 4 sealed boxes! Find it hard to open them up at current prices!

Depends on what you’re trying to do and how much time you want to invest. I didn’t have quite that many but I built a set to hold, sent off the higher end ones for grading, listed lower value for single sales and now debating what to do with the rest of the random logo, principle and f2 cards.

So I find it weird that nice PSA 10 singles aren't even bringing the price of a sealed hobby box. I get that people still want to fish for autos or just hold wax as an "investment" but I'm seeing Gold 70th Max portrait PSA 10s selling for 3500 and I'm just scratching my head. Either wax is far overvalued or singles are far undervalued. The big price increase happened approximately 2 weeks after The National last year, will be interesting to see what happens after The National this year.
