I’ve been using this app the last few days to “pre-grade” what I will eventually send out for grading.
the app has an AI that assets the corners, edges, centering, and surface of the card…and then gives you a score / comparable grade for BGS / PSA / SGC. Anyone else using it? |

I find it extremely intuitive and shows the potential of AI grading. It's everything "CardScore" should have been but they failed to execute. Area's of improvement:
Pro's:
My last point of contention is that it seems to be difficult to get it to recognize the possibility of a card scoring a 10. I had several cards that rated an A or better in all categories and it gave the expected score range of 8-9. All in all, I give it an A+ on effort and cost (free), and a B on execution. It seems really close to being an exceptional tool. |

Follow-up to the above message, as soon as I posted a response I tried another card and I got my first card that gave a score range that included a 10 (Overall Grade: A), Grade Comparable to: 9-10.
Unfortunately its a Topps A&G Danny McBride Autograph with a print line from the manufacturer that goes across the center of the card and is about .75 inches long. While I have seen similar cards grade a 10, anything from a 7-9 wouldn't surprise me on the card. |

Fun tool, completely unreliable. I played with it for a bit. Destroyed a 2021 Update Carlos Hernandez RC in the process. It doesn't account for back side surface issues. I took pictures with giant glare marks. It would point them out on the map, but then still give it a A for surface. Pictures without the glare would grade lower. It also doesn't account for Highlighter or Sharpie, front or back. Trimming the card had no effect on the score. My phone was locked in place, the card was in the same spot and 4 times I got 4 different center scores. Between 50/50 and 57/43. The trimmed card was closer to 50/50

I cracked a cheap CSG 9.5 out to test this. (Chosen because it was a fairly cheap base card, and CSG grading is tough.)
Anyway, the card was graded 9.5 by CSG. Cent - 9.5 Corners - 10 Edges - 10 Surf - 9.5 Dilly App returned the following... Grade suggestion - 7 to 8. Corners - average of B Centering - A+ Surface - D+ Edges - average of a A |

Looks like a neat app. I was going to play around with it, and the first card I grabbed was a 1991 that I pulled from a vending box. It had the obvious 'potato chipping' curve to it. Any idea how to fix this prior to scanning it?

I love the idea but I can’t get a single card to work to be “assessed”. Amy tips? I made sure the box was green and the background of where the card was laying was neutral color. Just can’t get it to work at all

Don't waste your time, it's a complete joke.
Assess cards graded 10's as 7's and 8's lol |
