So I just watched the break. Let me start out by saying the cards are beautiful. The checklist is deep. It is a great set no question... however unless I'm missing something though how is this break not a 500 dollar loss? The Breaker card is great no question, Lita is probably a 50 dollar auto at best? Is there another card in the break over 20 bucks? I will be buying singles for sure but again I don't get how people who actually open these are not getting absolutely destroyed.

Gold of a big name or bust.

Also, not the biggest fan of The Undertaker card but I think on a purple parallel that would be a nice, nice, nice card.

22 Silvers a box, right? I'm curious where the big names for 1st Silvers ultimately settle in raw. Could a few end up $100-250 range similar to other sports?

I'm not saying this still justifies an $800 price point but if you can get one or two of the bigger names out of a box that gem, you may end up getting close.

Ivan prefaces he doesn't know a ton about WWE. He opens a lot of products across multiple sports and non-sports....I think we can give people a pass once in awhile.

I'm in a surly mood....no pass!

That said, for the amount of money they want for these things, I'd just as soon spend $800 on a dual auto I really want. Let the opening begin and hit the ebay machine.

Conor silvers from 2021 UFC Prizm now go for way less than $100. Even a PSA 10 goes for south of $500. I'd argue that Conor might be one of the top names in the UFC product. The money in the WWE product is in the golds. At $800+ a pop (will be over $1,000 once it's out), you can't hang your hat on silvers. It's going to be golds or bust.

ehh not true, autos of the big names, dual autos, color blast and basically any numbered card of the big names will sell really well

I'll be curious to see how autos sell for since most of these folks have on-card autos in Topps products. Color blast will sell well so I'll grant you that. Still, at what will eventually be a $1k box, getting $1k of value out of a box will be an uphill battle.

prizm is just going to sell for quite a bit more than chrome, the duals will be very very good

On-card versus sticker, I get that they just might but as a collector, it makes no sense. I'll be curious to see how wrestling collectors treat the set in the single market.

Was anyone else scared of breaking their boxes by that GTS break? I pre-ordered two from Blowout with the intent to break them, knowing I'd likely take a bath. But man, that GTS break was rough, even with the Bron Breaker out of 49.

I’m going to be fascinated to see the FOTL breaks and the sales of the FOTL prizms. If there are only 4 to 5 numbered cards a box, FOTL may have been worth it at $1200. The weird thing with the FOTL prizms is that historically, the hobby mojos out of 25 significantly out-perform the FOTL out of 10.

I don't know how this losing proposition of opening these boxes at the current price points is any different than all of the other Prizm products from the past few years across the spectrum.

The price point is dictated by those case hits and when you swing and miss, it's never justified. But that's for the typical collector opening a full box on their own. The price point is set for breakers and it makes sense at $800. If a breaker sets this up where you can buy in for each particular wrestler, maybe you can get a case break spot for $25-50 for that lesser known wrestler you love so it's less of a gamble to your wallet.

Most of the group breakers know far too little about WWE to try to do any sort of pick your player for it, and checklist too big to do that over random letter/pack

I love joining player breaks for my favorite sports sets for players on my team through eBay. I don't know why WWE would be any different.

Ebay auctions the regular few people could do but in terms of pricing full list on facebook/websites nobody would know how

The retail version of this stuff could be rough.

No golds, No Blacks, No Color Blast, No numbered parallels (except for a /25 one in a blaster and good luck hitting those).

Basically like all other prizm brands where people paying over retail for it are going to get murdered

I always forget that Panini doesn't number their retail greens while Topps does /99.

Yah, that definitely sounds brutal if as I indicated earlier, the silvers won't be carrying a decent enough premium in comparison to other sports.

Then they are in for a rude awakening after first to market sales. In terms of real life, F1 and UFC are both trending up. As someone who has watched WWE for 25+ years it has clearly been trending down. Who knows if people will get lucky with first to market sales but single card sales in a few months will be brutal
