hellz no--I reckon you can pay +30% or more if you have a sort of directed collection and you are sure its one of your grails-sure. are you a collector, or worried about the money, that is the ultimate question? If the autos were cleaner, I’d say go for it. But these guys have such good signatures, I’d pass on one where it’s obvious they shouldn’t have signed it.

I go by past 3-5 months of comps on eBay, just start an excel file and track that stuff manually.

There's a few that I'm currently following that carry a hefty price tag, if one pops that falls within my range I'll be begging the boss to let me pick it up.

If it is you dream PC card just buy it. If you can't afford to buy it and own it forever, you are in the wrong hobby. It is only 2k and 500.00.

I had a chance to get my dream card. I went through the comps and bid what I thought it was worth. I was out bid. My wife told me to just buy the card, so I overpaid to get it. I am glad I did.

A card is worth what someone is willing to pay for it. If the owner thinks it is worth 2k, it is until someone pulls the trigger. You can wait and try to buy it less elsewhere, but I have been burned many times doing that. I ended up paying more or worse the card going above my budget.

Is paid 1700 for a bat knob and 1400 for a bat barrel of my pc back in 2015…. Prob a normal price now for the card but back then that was wayyyy overpriced but I knew if I didn’t buy it then I’d probably never have a chance at the card in the future

I just bid almost 2k on a alonso dynasty card…and lost…no alonso non rookie has sold even close to that far as I can see. So the answer is sometimes even overbidding isn’t enough.

I have a full rainbow of 2016 Topps Francisco Lindor #439 - including all sets 40 something in all. I have 2 plates but none of the main line 1/1s. Would pay multiple thousands for the Super or Platinum.

Same for the 2021 Topps Jose Ramirez. I am at 72 different of the same picture, but none of the main 1/1s. I’d guess I would easily pay double the market value.

The top, left, and right side do look trimmed, some of the letters are cut off that shouldn't be and the spacing on the left is tighter then it should be between edge of the card and letters. Only the bottom looks correct.

If it was a non-altered card, 2K is a great buy in 2020. One of only three on card Mays/Aaron dual autos ever produced.
