first post! have been reading for several months. love all the great content.

hits from the 3 boxes i ripped today. no autos, not very enthused with the relics but do like the alonso. highlights:
  • tatis and harper image variations
  • 2 base wanders (and the new age), 2 clementes, 2 jonathan india (PC)
  • boxloader 1973 cards were meh with mcglothen and robinson
  • boxloader of mookie betts poster is pretty cool
  • numbered were wheeler /373 and springer /999
  • only other color was black alcantara
  • 21 short prints

overall happy, especially since i did well on building the base set with only 17 cards missing. if anyone wants to trade some base cards to complete your set, let me know!

Should be 24 sps. You might have missed 3. Check your stacks for 401-500.

At least with flipping burgers, you could take a little nibble every now and then.

Cardboard doesn't taste good

When I decided what route I wanted to take I went against busting wax. I felt like even when it was +EV, the time commitment and being stuck to a schedule wasn't worth it for me. I'd rather gamble on player breakouts or guys getting traded to the Yankees.

you are correct. there were 3 of the 'all-time leader' cards that i had in the insert pile. and with that, my SP total is up to 24. thanks!

Love it!

My plan in retirement is to open up a small sportscard/comic store, relax and hang with other retired friends, meet new ones, open packs with kids, etc....also have some old school arcade games (NBA Jam, Off Road, Gauntlet, etc.) and pinball (Taxi, Cyclone, Star Wars, etc.) in the store...all free of charge....and breaking even would be just fine

You don't even need to be at dist pricing to make a return on the cost basis of the case, however what is not accounted for is the opportunity cost listing everything and packaging/shipping everything out.

My first case that I ripped by myself was 2018 Update. That made me a nervous wreck, but even half assing it and not fully knowing what I'm doing, I easily made $200 from the cost and kept a set for myself, along with a couple extra doubles of some rookies.

If I knew what I was doing, I would've had a better plan on selling the gold parallels and extra inserts/etc.

So many people though don't care to sort the base to put into team lots or sets, and lose a bit of extra money.

Stuff is still too high for me to get into anything personally.

Here are a few of the 25 1973 Comic cards I did for this release. Anxious to see what they look like but so far haven't seen any of them on eBay.

The white box is where the players photo and autograph was put in by Topps.

As said before

Only 800 actions live and sold over first 10 days

That’s only 200 cases. Then you have to guess how much has been opened and not sold. Heritage is collected a lot .. so if you say 300 cases

500 cases total. Is that even 10 percent ?

But then it’s topps. Maybe they forgot to add them ? They do dumb stuff

Between no comics and no throwback. Seems odd

These are excellent - are they box toppers or pack inserted (maybe not)?

I'm surprised none of those comic cards have shown up. Who knows, maybe Topps cut them from the release.

Are they retail only? Candy lids, comics, Venezuela stamps, I haven't seen any of these. I'm assuming they're all coming in the retail stuff once it starts to become available.

None of them are listed on the hobby pack odds.

Nice work! I was just searching for these this morning.
Retail was scheduled to release on Friday (for blasters), but I haven’t seen any available anywhere yet.

So here I went, grinding out a profit on a case ...

Just got a return request (automatically approved, of course) from a 15000+ feedback seller. Posey and McCovey oversized posters.

Reason: Just didn't like it
Comments: Didn't receive in time to resell

Guessing he needed them for a show on Saturday.

Some people, man.
