Question about Topps Pro Debut, I thought about buying opening since where I live now there are minor league teams only. For the Pro Debut, will players be in the set multiple years in a row or is it a one and done only?

For Bowman, players will continue to have prospect cards, but only one 1st until they get to the majors.

It’s been a while ago, but there was a forum member who had an amazing collection of graded minor league issues throughout the 70s, 80s, and 90s. He had all the big guns - Rickey, Ripken, Mattingly, Elway, Kirby, Big Mac, Mariano Rivera, Pudge, etc - all first issues, all PSA10/BGS 9.5. Even had a pack-issued auto of Satchell Paige from a stadium release where he was coaching.

Haven’t seen him in a while, but I’d love to look at his collection again.

I’ve always had a soft spot for minor league cards, especially team issued sets. I’ve got minor league cards of just about every notable Angel going back to 1986. There are 3 I am still looking to pick up; 1978 Cedar Rapids Chili Davis, 1985 Edmonton Wally Joyner and 1985 Midland Devon White. I’ve got Trout’s entire MiLB run except his 2012 PCL TP. Here are a couple of my favorites…

I received a 300 card order yesterday and this card was in there. Has to be the worst photo to use for a card ever. The photo is at a bad angle and is so far out of focus it hurts my eyes. Just terrible.

Me too! I love the addition of Chrome the last couple of years. Depending on the checklist I’ll probably get 2-4 jumbo boxes chasing Harry Ford, assuming he’s in a Nuts uniform. Also probably looking for Benny Montgomery if he’s in a Fresno uniform

Big fan of Pro Debut, one of the only things I open multiple boxes of because it is affordable and pretty fun. Looking forward to it.

These sets are so much fun to look at 3-4 years later. For the guys that make it to the bigs i love seeing them in their crazy minor league uniforms. If they don’t make it it then it is fun to reminisce about the “oh man i remember him” type players that got hyped in the hobby. These are super fun for.

2023 pro debut is going to be really cool with the flagship design and the mascots/logos prominently featured on the card design. It’s a long way off but i can already picture them.

Modesto Nuts....Cool, "you know who" was on that team..! I saw West Va Power come thru Greenville, SC in 2019. I may have seen Julio at some games, but at that time all eyes were on Kelenic. He wouldn't sign for anyone though; he knew he was going to be hot stuff and couldn't be bothered..!

I opened 5 Hobby boxes of PD, and made 3 full sets w/ almost enough for a 4th set. I Did not do great w/ autos, except for a Marcelo Mayer /75 Future Cornerstones Auto. Color parallels were tough to find; perhaps 1-2 per box, and all I got were duds. So - kind of disappointing compared to previous years.

Have not ripped my (3) Heritage Minor Boxes yet...
