Personally, I hold onto some notion that he had secret surgery to repair that calf.
He hurt the calf running the bases. I do think it makes sense for him to play less CF. His bat has not been the problem. Small sample size, but he was hitting .333/.466/.624 when he got hurt. As his speed has declined, his power has increased. Prior to 2017 he slashed .306/.405/.557. Since then he's .302/.442/.630

I could be mis-remembering but I thought his 2019 defensive numbers were solid!? That would have been the last full season, before COVID. ANyways, I think that he has a lot to prove this year to the doubters! Go Angels!

Here's an unbiased opinion of Trout regarding him playing center field. Based on these numbers, the Angels (and Trout) would be better off moving him to left or right field.

That’s a good write up, but as it says near the end, Mike’s playing center field and that’s that.

I think that’s he’s heard the chatter this last year and will be laser focused.

I accidentally picked up two copies of that one when I was trying to snag early SPs cheap to put together a full run (or at least a run of everyone I like).

Don't even mind.

Looked like he was limping on the basepaths but he's still in there.

I didn't see any limp. He also made a running catch in CF and looked fine

Weird, it looks like he's favoring his left leg when he leaves the box.
