Maybe it's just my area or people living in fantasy land but everyone seems to overvalue their cards on FB.
Is this like that for everyone else? Lol |

I have had success buying on Facebook. Items that are well priced sell quickly.

A little bit but mostly selling wax.
Prices are higher than Ebay usually. |

In all the time I've been looking for cards there, I've really only ever found a single seller who was offering what I was looking for at reasonable prices. FB is mostly a waste of effort.

I can't remember the last time I saw something reasonably priced for cards on FB Marketplace in my location (Maine).
Usually it's a shoebox of mixed sport junk wax with the classic "no lowballs, I know what I have" text accompanying the high price. |

Not exactly the same, but I've made card deals through FB Groups. Just gotta make sure the person you are dealing with is trustworthy.

If you over value your cards in any FB groups 20 people will quickly let the seller know about it! lol
Not sure how FB marketplace would work except would be limited to selling locally, and the price should be lower than current eBay sales, but sellers may not be up to speed on that. |

Have a guy trying to sell a lemieux rookie ACA 8 grade and a Draisaitl MNT 9.5 grade like they are in PSA slabs. Or the guy trying to sell a raw like it's in a slab. FOH lol |

I've had success on FB groups, there's a bunch that specialize in hockey and it's generally a great community.
Prices are all over the place but you can definitely get some deals especially when people are looking for quick sales. |

I've sold a ton of cards on FB marketplace. A lot of 26 graded vintage cards, 10 or 12 Matthews and Marner rookies, and a dozen or so autos. Made sure to price below eBay, a lot of it moves pretty quickly.

I've heard that FB Marketplace can get sketchy. You haven't had any issues so far?

It may depend on what you're looking for, but that's been my experience for vintage. |

It's the Wild West if you try and get something mailed to you. There are many scammers out there due to the lack of enforcement. All you have to back you up is your nature of payment. Many people try the Friends & Family scam as well. A guy that said he was from New York gave me his phone number so he "knows who he is dealing with" but only corresponded via text. He had a burner phone from the Utah area. His FB account name came up on the scammers list.
Local pickup have been the most beneficial. A lot has to do with timing.
