Speculative title of that article has been valid since his initial surgery over the summer. A second surgery has always remained a future possibility.

But his medical imaging on the injection site won't even be done until late this week, if not next week. Talk about jumping the hypothetical gun.

I think it’s more of a reflection of the grading craze than anything. Most people were not grading cards while Kobe was playing, and from late 2019 through early 2021, many people were grading literally every Zion card they had.

What concerns me about Zion and other modern day players is just how many cards there are and what's still in the backlog? I have to imagine that there is still plenty of low- to mid-range cards that are just going to increase in terms of pop counts.

I was thinking of buying a silver Prizm with a good grade as a flyer on Zion but those pop counts scare me to death.

Odd thing is, was anyone (outside of this guy) even aware that Zion had returned back to NO and was no longer in Portland? I didn't hear a thing about that. But this guy is an official reporter for their local news so I'd think he'd go on a bit more than just a hunch when it came to Zion's whereabouts.

Everyone and their momma just throwing out speculation at this point. I guess we'll all just have to look forward to Griff's monotonous death stare presser this weekend.

Lots of nice #'d rookies from Chronicles. I get some of the paper stuff is gross but the chrome stuff is nice. Phoenix and Crusade seem way too cheap right now.

do yourself a favor dump the high pop cards and move on. you may lose out on some profit but it will never be hard to find any of these guys rookies ever. None of these guys have ever done anything remotely worth these prices let alone each guy has like 30+ 1 of 1s. now we got to guess which 1 of 1 is better? zion will not be lebron or tim duncan and you guy buy lebron bgs 9.5s for 4k right now just stock up. tim duncan 9.5s topps chrome $500. giannis prizm bgs 10 under $3500 pop 252! 2x mvp and nba champ and hes doesnt need any superstars to do it. leave the bag holding to the newbs

That's because Kobe's cards were in the junk era and were never worth grading for the most part.
