Actually I have 2 MCP memberships. Make a fair amount flipping the things of value. This really just tipped the scale for me though in terms of absurdity of pricing relative to the quality of the product. Just sincerely wasn't sure if there was something folks knew was in here that folks were chasing. Know we all like different things, I just don't see anywhere near that kind of value for a sealed full set, let alone a single slim-jim you-call-that-a-hobby box.

If Wander has MVP numbers first half of the year, how much could a psa 10 1st edition wander rc go for?

How many cards in a box 240? Assuming no inserts you have about a 72% chance for Wander.

Genuinely curious, as I am going to pass on this and will stay firm, but where would 1st Edition rank in light of:

SS1 Base, SP, SSP, and Parallels?
Chome Base, SP, SSP, and Parallels?

For me, still semi-ish new, I just don't understand what the draw would be, a la:

Montgomery Club
Holiday
Complete Set / Variations / Foilboards
Factory Set
(and all the other options)

It would be lower echelion, right?

Depends on how many other products get 1st edition treatment.

Did the checklist come out? Are there really just base cards in a box?

Likely depends on print run.

This did it?

Not the $250 box of 2020 TC Sapphire? Or the $750 50-pack carton of 2021 Bowman Draft 1st Ed?

Admittedly, if this 2022 S1 1st Ed has no parallels I'll be significantly disappointed. And I absolutely think it's overpriced, like everything else now.

But this is no more absurd than at least a handful of other releases just this past year.

Saw the pack odds on Twitter and I'm glad I didn't buy this. Good luck to everyone who did.

So on average per box you should get: (according to odds)

At least 1 black, 2 red, 3 orange, 8 green and 12 gold? Are my calculations right? Wow…

Same here.
Extremely limited compared to regular S1 print run.
The parallels will carry value, and always an outside shot at a Wander lottery hit in the numbered parallels..

No brainer on this one.

I was the opposite. I didn't touch this yesterday. Saw the parallel's and odds this morning and bought a bunch of it. No chance this goes one backwards. If Wander has an auto in it things will go nuts. But that will just be the cherry. The parallel's make it a much better value than flagship.

To me this is the key... everyone knew S1 flag was going to be run until there are no trees left to print... I love to see only 8k boxes of the 1st edition... this will be a huge win (yes I got 2 boxes).... love this low production run and have no issue spending for it... if you don't like it, there is plenty of S1 flag for much lower prices... lol...

Totally agree. I went back and fourth all day and finally pulled the trigger before I went to bed. Seeing the pack odds this morning and I'm thrilled.

I'll buy more during the public sale if I can, but I'm going to assume that it will impossible like BDS was.

with only 8k boxes, the public sale (if there is one) will last for like 4 seconds...
