Hey all! This is my first post! Need help finishing the Sapphire Mystique set. Looking for Hardin, Kawhi, Kyrie, Embid, Curry, Lavine, McCollum, Mitchell & Simmons. Buy or trade! Anyone got extras they don’t need?

Love the look of the Sapphires! I only have Lebron at the moment, so nothing to trade. But I'm sure there are some people in this thread that have extras for trade or sale. Hopefully someone will speak up. I'd love to do all the retail mystique sets and the white and gold /10 from hobby. We'll see.

For retail versions, what’s the best? I see blasters, mega and retail wax boxes at BO and was curious.

Tough call, and varying opinions/reasons. I've only opened blasters and fat packs. Blasters produced starlights for me at 1:7. And the chase parallels/inserts are emerald (most common).

Fat packs give 3 rookies per pack! But I've yet to pull a starlight. But you get the orange parallels/inserts.

It's hard to keep it all straight!

If possible, I would look at a retail box or theq MJ holding blisters. Pink parallels plus you have the black base /49 and pink inserts /25. Usually good for getting the inserts as well.

Not the best pictures - can't remember the last time I got an 8.5. Pack pulled myself so not a big deal and a neat card to have. Got a /25 Zion Pink season highlights that's been sitting at PSA for almost 10 months.

I sent in the teal version of the same card and it got an 8. I can see a small corner ding now that it's encased. Don't recall seeing it when sending it in. Eveything else came back 9 or 10.

Congrats on that grade!! Very hard to get one in that condition. Such gorgeous cards, and pics don't do them justice. I have enjoyed putting sets together. I'm very slowly working on a graded set (9 or better), but it'll take a long time, and I might never complete it.

Has anyone come across this defect before on the pink /25 Instant Impacts? I pulled this one, and I've seen it on others on Ebay and Youtube, so it seems to be a somewhat common defect on these. Was wondering if the fact that it seems to be a somewhat common printing defect, if maybe the card grade would not be totally cratered? Or is it totally cratered? (I'm not very experienced with card grading)

The card is damaged, don’t let anyone else convince you otherwise.

It's the foil portion of the card coming up from the card. I had a couple career lineage inserts have this defect. A season highlights one as well. Will effect grading for sure unfortunately.

{sigh} finally pull a low serial rookie insert of someone who at least has some potential and of course panini screws it up. Oh well.

Looking for anyone with experience opening the Canadian blister packs. How was the card condition? In-line with what you expect for 2019/20 Illusions, or was there evidence that the "repackaging" process caused damage?

I've seen a few of these come out of packs like that.
Some a lot worse but not common overall.

The condition seemed inline or even slightly better than average.
Opened a decent amount.

Id agree with K13 - stuff like the foil coming off the inserts is a manufacturing issue more so than a packaging issue.

I really like this year's Illusions, just for the simple fact that PG13 was included in most of the subsets. My favorite subset thus far is the shining stars, especially the gold #/10!

I opened quite a bit of this the past couple months and I just find it REALLY fun. Haven’t pulled anything earth shattering…yet (hopefully). I just ordered a 20 pack retail box on Walmart.com for 100 and tax, so let’s see what that yields. Did pull a pretty obscure auto of Elmore Smith. He played Center in the 70s and led the league in swats one season. I have a few Topps cards from the 70s Of his…so kinda cool to get that. Sure, I wish it was Melo or Luka or someone big, but I’ll certainly take a neat auto like that.

Did you manage to pull a draft night sig out of 2019? Seems like a very underrated auto card. Havent seen many floating around.

My friend and I have been working on that set... we essentially opened two cases and hit six of them... of course none of the big names. They're super cool and probably the thing to chase out of the product.
