It can't be that many. You have to take into account how many people dropped out in front of you or got to the front of the line and weren't actually eligible.
If I started at 1773 and it showed full for me at about 375, that would only be 1400. I'm sure it is different depending where you were in line.

0 for 4 and the odds appear to be getting worse with each event.

True, I didn't factor dropouts. Probably closer to the 1,500-1,700 it's been then.

I'm 0 for 4...

Only saving grace is the 20-cards I got into PCP before they shutdown their Econo subs.

Hopefully PSA can increase their allotment to like ~5k per event vs the 1.5k or whatever they're doing now.

Or better yet, just give every PSA member X number of slots per month in a "use it or lose it" approach where the unused allocation could be go into an extra lottery event at the beginning of each new grading cycle

Agreed, and I'm unnecessarily perturbed by this whole damn process. Paying the Silver Membership for two years, other cards been at PSA for almost a year, and the privilege to carve out 60 minutes twice a week to try and win a longshot submission lottery.

But, it's my fault for caring so much about pictures of dudes on cardboard.

Dude, I'm in the same boat. It's so frustrating. I finally joined PSA just over a year ago. I have 114 cards submitted since Feb 2021 (two modern bulk orders). Still in the grading stage as of today

Honestly, I see nothing wrong with the current process.

It's luck of the draw, and truth be told, it's better than not be able to send anything in for under $100 a card! May Lady Luck be on your side next time!

I haven't submitted anything in 11 months, after going a decade of submitting something practically monthly. The last 2 subs I got back took 12 and 13 months, respectively, to finish.

I skipped 2 events. I was 2 for 2 on my previous attempts. Struck out today. Oh well. Try again on Thursday!

Something > Nothing... and we've all gone quite some time where essentially nothing has been our only PSA option!

I got lucky on all the previous and sat this one out. I'm just about out of cards that justify a $50 tag. Will wait for the value play that I expect will be here before summer.

I think someone in the other thread said it well in terms of potentially making the process more equitable.
At the beginning of each event PSA knows how many slots they have. E.g. 1,500.
Figure out how many allocations each member that signed up for the event has gotten in the past.
From there randomly draw within the groups with the fewest allocations thus far and keep going through different groups until all allocations are granted.
E.g. if there are 2,000 members with 0 allocations, then they would be the only ones with a chance to get an allocation this particular round (1,500 randomly selected).
Another e.g. if there are 1,000 members with 0 allocations and 1,000 members with 1 allocation. Everyone with 0 allocations would get an allocation and 500 of the 1,000 members with 1 allocation randomly would receive an allocation this round.

^^^ Agreed, but I don't think their third-party event software can parse all of that data or that PSA would bother to work with them on the inputs/adjustments necessary.

Default PSA - February Economy Events

word has got out that you can have multiple browsers/windows open, so i would guess it’s the same number of people, just more instances in the queue.

I won a spot last Thursday for 5 cards Economy I went to fill out the form and ship out and it’s not there? Don’t they give you a week to fill out the form?

I got 3 of the first 4 so I decided to bow out of the one today and will do the same with the one on Thursday. Had enough luck and got to submit some sweet cards, now it's time for others to get a shot.

It’s going to a madhouse if this is how they dole out value subs when the time comes. some people had 10 or more different windows in the queue this week.

You're able to do that on the same account? If so that's ridiculous.

different browsers/devices is how i understand it. i wasn’t in the queue this week but that’s why the count was so much higher this week than in previous weeks.

Ya definitely need to fix that, I could understand not being able to prevent people from using different accounts in different browsers but same account is preventable for sure.
