I thought I remembered looking at the video from the game it likely came from, and finding roughly the moment...but if I posted it, I can't find it now. It was the WS. You can ID the game by the jerseys and catcher, I believe.

Ripped 2/3 blasters of 2020 SC Chrome last night looking for a Shuffle.

Not a whiff of Soto's nuts but I did snag a Beam Team Red Ref Auto of Pete Alonso.

At this rate I might be able to sell it for a base Shuffle.

Wow! That’s a great pull! Color Beam Teams are growing on me.

How do the beam teams look in hand? They don’t move the needle much for me from photos. A Soto red sold last week that I probably would have bought if the bin wasn’t hit by the time I saw it. I don’t know if it’s anything I really missed out on though.

Sounds like the print runs for everyone compared to other lines was pretty low.

I personally love them. I got hooked back on MJ and Shaq so I originally prefer the paper stock with holographic foil beams. However, the refractors have really been going on me lately since Topps hasn't had actual holographic foil on the paper beam team since 2014. I really like the 2020 & 2021 Chrome Color Refractors. I like the red the best for obvious reasons but orange and gold really pop too.

Here's some of my 2020

And here's the Pete Alonso.

I admit, I do like this year’s design much more than the Shuffle year Beam Teams. But after picking up a couple colors, it makes me consider expanding that a bit more into past years. I’m kind of like that though…once I find something I really like, I go after clusters…lol. I’ve loved Beam Teams since 92 Jordan though. Those set the tone and while they don’t nail the design every year, I think they are really sharp when they do. These have that same texture from the Shuffle refractors in spots.

Ironically, those same 5 blasters that netted me just one base shuffle... also netted me this lovely card that suddenly fits right into the conversation!

A couple gems showed up today from PSA by way of PC Sportscards. Breakthrough is pop 6 of 14 graded, numbered to 137. SSP seemed way too common after release to be 'SSP', I bet there are a few more of those in the PSA backlog. Pop 14 of just 21 graded so far.

Beam Teams are really fun to collect. Highly recommend. I rip a lot of Stadium Club every year and the variations and autographs are hard to chase.

P.S. Nice Soto Orange - I recently just picked one up too

On a side note - If anyone has a lead on a 2020 Stadium Club Chrome Refractor #104 from paper Stadium Club (not Shuffle, but the screaming image above) it would be much appreciated.

My favorite Beam Teams this year are the Wave Refractors though. They wave makes the design really pop and each one has a different print variation. The Crystal Ball Insert looks cool with the Wave as well.

Cracked another couple of SCC blasters tonight, because why hold onto three sealed, potentially appreciating boxes when you can hold onto just one?

Inserts were not numbered, but at least good names...

...and I wasn't expecting an auto, much less two...

I finally pulled the trigger on one of these. When they first came out, I totally overlooked them (because they were sold on Topps online). But after a while, I started falling in love with the overall look. I should of picked one up when they were selling less than $50.. but I always procrastinated. The prices started to slowly climb since then. These are pretty tough to find centered. I’m so happy to add this to my Soto PC:

What a beauty! This is on my list to get this year as well. Great looking card and it has the 1954 Ted Williams orange colors to boot!

Here’s the last picture of mine from last February before it was sent off to PSA. 54 has always been one of my favorite designs so I had to have one. I know exactly what you mean by the centering as it took me some time to find a decent one and this was the best I could find for around $40.

I know it’s not as heavy a hitter as some recent posts but this one just came in from myslabs. I slightly overpaid, but i wanted it. And i think these have tremendous room for growth. And I’m up so much on Soto anyway. And it’s Soto. Should i keep going? Is that enough reasoning?

Frustrated that I bought a PSA 10 version of this for $40 in 2019 and then wound up selling it for $60.

Jumping in the Beam Team discussion - Loved the 2020 version. Picked up a Griffey Gold when the product was new. Very off base from the rest of my collection but just really enjoyed the cards and thought Griffey was a great choice to add a gold of.
