Ball was tipped and the WR was reaching down trying to still grab it. You can slow the play down all you want to make it look egregious, the penalty is BS. It was a bang/bang play and Weddle let up.

So let me get this straight.... if the play is considered over (dead ball) on 4th down then you can literally take the King of cheap shots on any player and you still get the ball?

Somehow that seems wrong.

What all of you guys are missing who are upset about the call is that it happened on 4th down. Totally different if it happens on 1-3rd down. That's why it seems so off. Once that ball hits the ground, they've turned it over on downs.
