Lights Out Boxes Have Officially Landed in the USA. Last night an ebay seller from New Jersey posted the 1st 'in hand' picture of his Lights Out box. It was the real deal box and not a stock image from the marketing materials. I can't wait to see these cards in person.

I am going to go out on a limb here and say that the incredible design of these cards is going to push boxes past $1000 eventually.

I have 6 boxes on the way and I will post my 6 insert pulls on this thread.

If people are paying $1000 for a box with one parallel and no autos some day they are dumber than I thought they were and that is saying something with how some new collectors are throwing money at product without understand the hobby this past year.

I think reaching $1000 a box is going to happen by the end of 2022 even though it shouldn't happen based upon the lack of autos/inserts. Here are the factors that I think will lead to $1000 per box by the end of 2022. I see 3 main reasons:

1. Design (If these cards look as good in person as the promo photos, this set really stands out)

2. Print Runs - This is such a small print run compared to other products.

Because there is only 1 guaranteed insert per box, people are likely to buy multiple boxes. I bought 6 myself. Compared to 2020 Topps F1 Chrome/Sapphire I could only afford box breaks.

3. Max vs. Lewis in 2022. Coming off Max's win and the huge success of Drive To Survive, there are going to be more fans than ever in 2022. Inevitably, many will get into collecting.

So in many ways I agree with you Ianhatcher. These boxes shouldn't reach $1000 based on what they offer but I think they will based on other reasons.

part of what’s driving f1 prices is the fact there is virtually no product. there’s gonna be a lot more drops this year than there were last year.

I'm not seeing any of that causing these to reach $1000 by the end of the year.

When Flagship, Chrome and Dynasty hit in February this set will be quickly forgotten about and my bet is Topps isn't going to delay F1 product for the 2022 season as much as they did this past year so we are going to get a lot of it. All that takes money out of past products.

I collect F1 and have zero interest in this. It might as well be a box of Topps Now to me. Pictures look cool but so do some Turbo Attax products and they aren't exactly crushing it in the secondary market.

And I think the print run is closer to 10,600. 6670 if I am not mistaken were boxes sold directly from Topps and doesn't include resellers.

Topps Now parallels typically go for $200+. A box with a guaranteed parallel and a chance at a Max or Lewis parallel? Plus small print run?

I think these will rise higher than the current $250 eBay cost.

These will boom. /1 /5 framed cards are great chase. Cards look great and are scarce. If these had an auto they would be through the roof.

Verstappen Topps Fire /250 promo cards are going for $225. Yeah, any parallels of the top guys will be good money.

if they hit 1000 that’s fine by me, i’ve got 8 coming, just mad i passed up on germany because of how they tax on shipping!

Would be nuts if a $50 box hits $1000.

true, they were one of the last boxes topps underpriced if i remember correctly, and basically everyone’s “rookie” card, and well, sapphire. my boxes aren’t going anywhere for awhile so we shall see how high they go.
