It's been this way for a few years now. Eyes are opened now that he's in LA and not in DC but his game hasn't changed.

Factor in his salary and people are starting to finally understand how detrimental this guy is. Not one of the worst ... absolutely the worst player in the NBA by a wide margin.

Yea I wasn't even considering salary. Factor in salary and he's the worst player by miles.

I'm just talking as a player. He's absolutely horrible.

As Kuzma has been playing pretty good ball for the past month.

this was discussed on r/nba the other day, but if you filter Raptor by position, here's the bottom ten PG in WaR- he is terrible this year and there's no other way to slice it.

that's the thing, he's not even that, he's the best "1b" in the game because he'd be the best player on most teams in the league.

He's literally 6th on basketball-ref's MVP tracker.

lmfao. If I was next to Austin Rivers and Killian Hayes on any list, I'd retire immediately.

Still crazy how LBJ won the chip then pivoted so violently with his roster the next two seasons for no apparent reason.

It’s not crazy. He’s a narcissist who thinks he is the best GM in the league. He is MJ managing the Wizards.

I get that, but he has to know the serious implications of acquiring a volatile guard with $80 million of unmovable salary. He’s at the very last leg of his career. There’s simply no room for errors especially when it comes to roster construction.

I guess he’s still a believer in the concept of a “Big 3” but Westbrook? I still can’t comprehend that move. I’d love an ESPN 30 for 30 special on what happened behind closed doors.

I don’t think he does. It was obviously a terrible fit. Anybody who wasn’t a Brick or Lakers stan here could see how this was going to turn out. Bron just isn’t very bright when it comes to anything but how he performs on the court.

I'd say their 20-21 roster was better than their 19-20 roster when they won the finals in the bubble.

From 19-20 to 20-21 they carried over:

Kostas Antetokounmpo
Devontae Cacok
Kentavious Caldwell-Pope
Alex Caruso
Quinn Cook
Anthony Davis
Jared Dudley
Talen Horton-Tucker
LeBron James
Kyle Kuzma
Markieff Morris

AND then added:

Drummond
Marc Gasol
Montrezl Harrell
Damian Jones
Wes Matthews
Alfonzo McKinnie
Ben McLemore
Schroder

This season they carried over:

LeBron
AD
THT

and then brought back Bradley and Howard from the 19-20 roster. Everyone else is new. There was no need to make the move for Westbrook and configure the roster the way it currently is.

I like the chemistry in that 2019 team but you're right, the 2020 was an improvement, I think 2020 had a higher defensive rating too- Pelinka and LBJ panicked during the offseason after losing to the Suns for no reason.

Buddy Hield was in the bag this year and even if that didn't pan out, moving him along with Nunn, THT can get them another piece or two to play with. Now, Westbrook's contract is pretty much the nail in their coffin. I've seen stranger things in this league but I think this is it for LBJ's hope for a 2nd title in LA.

Austin Reaves played a great game last night in the loss. I can't believe they didn't put him in hoops!

Woj bomb - Cam Reddish to the Knicks in a deal that includes Kevin Knox and a 2022 first round pick via Charlotte. Knicks also acquire Solomon Hill and a 2025 second round pick via Brooklyn.

No. It’s too 18 protected from Charlotte. They are currently 20th.

Damn. I was hoping the team, league, and city would fall for the trap.
