As much as I know this happens, I have to think this video is totally staged. Story of how important card is, etc., but doesn't open they day receives and then makes a big dramatization about the card, the deal, the money. Doesn't pass the sniff test for me.

I felt the same way. Seemed really odd.

Same. I felt like it was one of those Instagram/whatever vids where the creator is trying to keep you on as long as possible. Then womp womp...

If, OP, this really happened to you, I apologize in advance.

you can see when the package was still "sealed" the tape was already cut. this is totally fake

Left is the package "sealed", middle is during the opening and right is after opening. The package was CLEARLY opened before he "cut" it

Couldn’t be more fake if you announced it was fake

I feel like even putting the title in quotes, who does that, gives it away

Default “A collector’s worst nightmare”

Did he really say they greened because of them being atomic matter? I wanted to rewind and listen but was so drained from the epic prologue.

I think the OP just posted for viewing, don't think its him, as he is a long forum member, and not a Bonds collector that I am aware of.

I kept thinking this had the drawn out feeling of a Justin Flom video. Are we ever going to get there?

This is a big bonds collector that's very active on FB. He posted this and there was a huge public back n forth between him and the seller. The seller ended up posting a video he took packaging the card and it was the shadiest packaging of a card video I've ever seen. He never even showed the card go into the box!

Really hard to say who's at fault.

16 minutes of talking before he "realized" the package was empty???? The entire video felt fake from the beginning. Glad I skipped through it.

This is not my video.

I posted it here to see reactions and if I was being too scrupulous. I have spoken to this guy before and he seemed like an absolute class act.

#fluxmeintheazz indeed

Also that’s a bizarre way to pay for a card. Give your buddy $850 to meet the seller in North Carolina and then buddy mails card to you in whatever state you’re in? Seller can just claim buddy opened package and stole the card.

well its clear in the buyers video that the box was opened before he "cut" the tape. look at my photos in my post a few above yours. its very clear to see the tape already cut and the scissors not making any sort of friction to cut the tape. Not sure what the angle is here but for sure he opened it already. maybe he opened it off camera and there was no card so he needed to make a video to cover himself to prove that there was no card. but whatever the case the box was open at the start of the buyers video

Maybe they’re both in on it.

He’s also still sticking with the story that venmo denied his claim because the item “was as described.” Also claims he paid Goods.

This is yet another reason why I don’t mess with fb groups. It’s like wading through land mines.

I would like to believe if you are holding an open piece of cardboard that you would instantly know if there was something in it or if it was empty.

This video seemed very odd to me.

He may be very wealthy and $850 may be chump change to him but his whole reaction of “I think I’ve just been scammed guys” seemed a little too nonchalant.
