As for your comparison, Jokic is a one man team. It's terrible and pathetic right now but so long as Draymond is on the court w/ Steph every night, they're gonna be better that Denver. That's just the way it is for a while until the Nuggets figure out how to get someone on the court that can play high quality basketball. When Jokic isn't 30/20/10 on 60%+, Nuggets simply have no chance.

Plenty of people here who still think the Lakers are contenders. Maybe that stat will help them.

Lebron might not even be a top 10 player anymore.

For reference the Nuggets are +193 with Jokic on. Barton and Gordon aren’t that much different from Wiggins and Poole. Let’s not forget Wiggins was the worst starter in the NBA before playing with Steph

Kick back, relax. Have a few. I've said it myself, if Steph and company are nearly as good then as they are now, I agree he's going to win MVP and even w/ the shooting %, he's extremely high high high value. But you coming in here five games after our last discussion saying I should admit I'm wrong and Steph is clearly God is just ridiculous.

GSW had had 6th toughest schedule to this point and Denver 6th easiest so that’s not really a good point either. Sometimes a 30 game sample is enough to tell how something is going to go and I’m pretty certain that’s the case here

I’m interested to see if Steph continues to shoot this poorly by his standards. This is his worst shooting season, and it’s not even close. If I’m defending the Warriors, I’m not putting as much pressure on him. Allows too many easy baskets for everyone else.

(And if that kind of sample size were good enough, Kyler would be the MVP, Kansas City would be in shambles and the Cleveland Browns might make the SB). Seasons play out; things normalize.

If you’re a coach do you want Steph to beat you or are you gonna make the other guys beat you?
If you leave Steph open he’s guaranteed to beat you. If you leave the other guys open you at least have a chance. Steph has the lowest openness rating of his entire career by a long shot so my theory about his shooting percentages was correct. Teams are just smothering him and letting the other guys beat them

2) The Warriors are good at identifying players who fit their system (Oubre was a failure last year, but they've had success with role players dating all the way back to Leandro Barbosa, David West, Marreese Speights, Shaun Livingston, Javale McGee, etc.). 3) The Warriors are great at developing G-League players into viable rotation players (currently JTA, GPII, and Damion Lee). Last night they got huge minutes from a guy I had never heard of, Quinndary Weatherspoon, who apparently has spent most of the last month on the G-League Santa Cruz Warriors going up against Klay Thompson in practice. To put things in perspective, when everyone is healthy, Wiseman, Kuminga, and Moody, three lottery picks, are the 13th/14th/15th guys on the roster. Last edited by mfw13; 12-26-2021 at 01:13 PM. |

Huge minutes
14. And 4 fouls. And -8. Diamond in the rough.

Here are the Warriors projected units when everyone is healthy:
Starters: Looney, Green, Wiggins, Klay, Curry 2nd Unit: Bielijca, Porter, Iggy, Poole, GPII 3rd Unit: Wiseman, Kuminga, JTA, Lee, Moody Nobody else in the league has anywhere close to that type of depth....most other teams go 8-10 deep at best. |

There is no “system” without him All those guys you mentioned are average at best players and have not been successful anywhere else or won’t be successful anywhere else.

Obviously, everyone plays better with Steph healthy, but the fact that they are 27-6 without Klay tells you that this is a team that can function just fine with an injured superstar. Jordan Poole has developed into a mini-Steph, and the Warriors have plenty of depth in the backcourt. Obviously, they're not going to win a title without Steph, but I'd give them a 50/50 shot at winning their 1st round playoff series even if he was hurt. What does it tell you that a talent like Kuminga is playing only 9 minutes a game on the Warriors, whereas all the guys picked around him are playing 30+ minutes a game? |

Kuminga not playing only tells you who the Warriors were comfortable drafting. He was going to be a project on any team. The Warriors had other choices if they wanted someone playing right away.

These G-League Raptors are balling out tonight. 34 points in 1st quarter. Cavs thought they had a gimme tonight but not so fast.

Are Philly gonna continue to be this bad?
Only last season Embiid was telling everyone he was the MVP. What a shambles. Meanwhile Ben Simmons better come back and be a 70% free throw shooter with all this time.
