Well the Quad cost $20 I assume going by the ebay ending, the Killebrew was $10.

So while maybe not $25+ on 1 card, those two were $30

Plus, I love the Reflections set. Was one of my All time favorites. Those red and blue versions are beautiful imo

I really don’t care because I do this every year to give gifts, but I also cannot stand people who cannot follow simple rule as

1 card in the gift has to have a SV of $25, that’s pretty much the one rule for this.

With that said, again, as far as the receipt of a gift goes I am not overly concerned about it. I am actually glad the gift that doesn’t meet requirements came to me instead of someone else. Looking on the positive, I did need the green ice Kirilloff rookie debut!

100% agree! I had more fun shopping this year for my person than I have any other year!

However, when rules aren’t played by then obviously there are other people who did not follow the most important thing above.

Either way, I had fun shopping and researching different things and was even happier to see my recipient like his gift. Tis the season to give, and jlzinck did an awesome job of putting this together again like he does every year!

You were not mistaken. The rules are clear, one card needs to be at least $25.

I guess the first post in this doesn’t look as bad as their gift goes for $30. I know this is about giving and not receiving but if people are looking to spend the bare minimum then why do it? I did the Reddit secret Santa one year and got a truly awful gift. It was white socks that weren’t even in a package, just loose socks. I know it’s about giving but it’s hard not to be disappointed when you spend time and money to find a really good gift for your recipient only to feel like the same courtesy wasn’t given to you.

I really enjoy seeing everyone's gifts. I am excited to open mine, but I get so much enjoyment seeing what everyone else is getting also.

I did all of my holiday gifts at once in this video. This Secret Santa gift begins at 8:25 for anyone interested in seeing what I got. I’ve been blown away these past two years and am forever thankful to Jon for running this.

Happy holidays everyone!

This happens every year, I would’ve liked to participate but there is always somebody that gets the raw end of the deal.

At the end of the day, it’s about giving so you have to sign up knowing you might get nothing in return and have to be okay with that.

I agree and if I am giving it is going to someone that is in need, I would rather give my money and time to the food kitchen I volunteer at for thanksgiving and Christmas than participate in something as frivolous as cards.

Tough crowd. Sure looks like the SS tried. If I were a Twins fans I would enjoy that package. The M on the Puckett bat is sweet. Some really nice looking cards too regardless of eBay value.

Cool. Go do that and stay out of this thread, then.

You make no sense, just saying. You want to participate but are worried about getting a gift that isn’t up to your standard but then you don’t want to participate since you’d rather donate to another cause. You didn’t participate in this yet you are in here commenting about how you both do and don’t want to participate.

No sense. None.

Unfortunately, this type of response is why I no longer participate. I did a few years ago...spent close to $150 for the recipient....he came on here and whined. Every item was something from his wishlist too.
Just left a bad feeling.

I've kept track over the years and noticed that same person tends to complain no matter what he receives, so there's that.

I love doing this becuase I get to buy cards for others. This is also the only way I get cards as a gift.

There are miserable people in this world. They don't get in the way of my appreciation - I hope you can ultimately ignore them as well.

Just to be clear, I am not whining, all I did was post the cards I received as per the rules.

Did my Santa meet the requirements? No.

Do I really care about it? Not really, the only thing I get upset about is there are rules that weren’t followed. The gift itself is fine, and three of them were needed for my PC, which is better than getting a $25 card I don’t like.

Happy Holidays everyone! Let’s get back to the spirit of what this is supposed to be!
