New BGS turnaround time tracker

Do we know what month of orders they are on? I am hoping around December/January? Anyone know?

So, they kept to their word about only giving the holiday discount if received by the 13th, but still processing things pretty quickly. I shipped out on the 9th USPS Registered Mail so it didn't arrive until the 15th. Got the email that they received the order on the 16th, and just got shipping notification (20th). They billed me for the full $250 not $150, because USPS delivered it two days late. Super lame. It looks like my grader was pretty harsh on edges and surface too.

I went Registered Mail as well and my cards just arrived today. I would very much talk to them if they didn't honor the price, as you did not sign the form for the $250 cost regardless of if the cards showed up on time or not. Worse case scenario, you can consider filing a credit card claim.

I have a 100+ card order from November 2020 that was "Moved to Repository" the first week in October and haven't seen an update since...

I'm in the same position. Keep checking daily, but nothing's happening. Will probably get them back in 2023 and I bet they'll be issues.

My Economy order from January 2021 has not been charged yet.

My Standard order from June popped this week. Grades were tough.

Holiday special that arrived on Monday just popped. Grades are much more fair and they did not charge me the $250 rate like with the poster above.

I had 2 August Orders pop last month and I have 2 orders in September of 2020 still waiting, so they are somewhere between there ( assuming they are going FIFO which I dont think they are)

If it states that 2/2 are graded and label printed then you can go find your grades. Just look up that specific card on the BGS Pop report (on their actual website and not the App) and click on the card that is like yours and it should pop up as the most recent one they've graded.

I would be more secured / comfortably dealing with PSA than any other grading companies. Used to enjoy business with BGS, but its' lack of customer service has pushed me away...

I'm a patient person (especially since the cards I sent in aren't mine, but my step father's), but I do wish BGS was communicating better (or at all) their methodology for completing grades and where they are in the process. My order was received 10/2020 and changed to Moved to Repository a year later, I check them about once a week to see if their status changed. Not sure if it will be January or June, haha.

I'm with you - waiting is better if you aren't in the dark about everything. It does seem like they got a bit in over their head, and alienated a few people because of that... I guess since I submitted 03/21, then I'll get charged around 03/22.

I also sent my cards out on 3/2021 economy, got invoiced in July. No charge yet.

Only problem with PSA at the moment is their grading standards. They send you back a lot of 6's and 7's when you're expecting 9's and 10's. I've also received back a number of damaged cards from my last submission with the cards appearing creased inside the cases.

The only good thing about Beckett at the moment is their grading standards. I've sent over 100 cards in over the past few years and have not had a single bad grade. Their Customer Service unfortunately stinks.

I'm still using PSA due to the value that their cases hold, however, I'm just preying that I get good/fair graders next time and cards back undamaged.

Anecdotal experiences don't count for much. I have had the opposite experience and received back label errors, a cracked case and weird grades from BGS for my hockey cards, but have found zero issues with my gaming and non sports cards from PSA over the past years+.

Most people seem to be getting a good service from both companies in general(outside of turnaround time).

I had a dream last night that I received a box, I reached in and pulled out a perfectly graded card and put on display. When I woke up reality hit me, if I don't get that box then my son, and if not by him, then his son. Even though the contents has been forgotten I hold on hope. My wife care not for she think it a myth but I explain the email that came on a day long ago.

- Date I sent to Beckett: 4-5-20
- Date son born: 6-6-20
- Date recieved by Beckett: 10-13-20
- Date email confirmation from Beckett: 1-8-21
- Daughter due in February 2022

I fully expect to have had two kids before getting my submission back (economy order) Since we had a kid we did a will, no kidding I put my order in there.

Fair enough. I suppose it depends on the grader that you get. If you've had any cards back recently from PSA, I would double check them under the light as there may be a few damaged that you don't know about. Mine looked fine when I first checked them, but I noticed issues when checking them under the light. It's either a crease on the actual sticker or it's a crease on the plastic film that they put inside. Looks damaged to me. Will just have to sell them and hope that the buyer doesn't notice.

Also seemed like they creased a few and graded them 6's. I know another guy who had the same problem, but two of the cards that they damaged were really high-end ($75000+ each).

Just want to get all of my cards graded and done with. Sick of the wait and stress of it.

Well said. I have an order submitted mid June 2021, and expect to wait until Sept. 2022.

I am holding a bunch of cards to submit, but not sure I want to go back to BGS until they have a more comprehensive electronic process with better tracking and a competent customer service team that consists of employees who are designated for this specific purpose. Beckett is owned by Global Growth LLC, and Beckett Media is just one of their subsidiaries. Improved customer service and technology are sorely needed as we see in these boards. I'd love to take a tour of BGS premises and see how things actually run in there - probably by the seat of their pants.
