Default Superfractors: Chrome and Sapphire?

Do these both exist or is it only one for each card? Thought I had read in some thread that there was only one or the other, not both. Thanks in advance.

Maybe depends on the player… ‘18 Chrome supposedly has Devers Sapphire Superfractor Auto in both… I know the Sapphire exists (as I own it), and someone I trust said he knows the regular chrome superfractor auto also sold. It is the same image in both products, if so

2019 Topps Chrome Sapphire was the last Sapphire to repeat superfractors (both Vlads are out). The introduction of padparadscha starting with 2019 Draft Sapphire took the 1/1 place for cards that already have a super. Now in Topps Chrome Sapphire, any card repeated from the 200 card regular Chrome checklist gets a padparadscha, the rest get superfractors. The 2021 pack odds line up with this, but haven't actually paid enough attention to verify. All Bowman's get padparadschas only as they are identical checklists to their regular launch versions.

Thanks for this info. Am assuming the design is identical, outside of the image? Can't have both the "superswirls" and the atomic cracked ice...

This is also excellent info — thank you. My question was asked with 2020 TC/Sapphire in mind, so this clears some things up. Cheers!

Looks like the only visible difference in the cards is the card number (RARD in regular TC vs ACRD in Sapphire)?

Since Topps Chrome is a set of 200 the card number on the back could vary and anything numbered 201+ would be Sapphire edition.
