Hundreds seemed pretty geeked out when this set started, but he's way behind now.

I do like, and own, his Ryan and Dale Murphy which are fun in hand

His hype didn’t equal high print runs so he decided to focus his hype on something else….

Or maybe he was treated so poorly by people with nothing better to do than harass artists on social media that he decided to focus his attention on people who appreciate him...

Even if his print runs weren't below average, he wouldn't be making more money from this project than he does elsewhere...

Nobody was harassing him. They were sharing their opinion of his work. When you put your work out there you should expect that.

Another reason why Topps should target artists who are fans of the actual sport/hobby. yea, thats a good point. i cant imagine $2-3K a card is worth their time

Snoop probably didnt really care about the total sum of money he could potentially make on the project, hes just rich enough to pay someone to make the cards and know the Snoop brand is showing up on Topps cards. Other than stumbling out the gate with the Acuna card, once his hired-hand took over, the cards have been pretty much on the proper pace.

Action Bronson however was clearly making his himself, got bored, and moved on.

Half the crowd knock Topps for doing the same old thing. The other half for trying something new. Can’t have it both ways.

You can do something new but not have it be garbage at the same time. Both do not need to be mutually exclusive concepts.
