Default Raiders’ Season officially over

I honestly can’t see them winning another game. I think Mark Davis needs to clean house with the staff and start over. Some nice pieces on O and D, but overall it’s a train wreck with the current coaching staff and front office.

The Ruggs incident was it for the Raiders. He was an emerging star and playmaker. Teams can only overcome so much. I think it would be best for the Raiders to start from scratch and let Carr go to a team that can compete. I am sure the Saints would love to have a QB like Carr next year or he can replace Rodgers in Green Bay.

0% chance he ends up in Green Bay. I do agree he would be a great fit in New Orleans though.

Carr is a average QB at best they would have to give him away for anyone to bite.

Carr needs weapons and an o-line to look real good. Without Ruggs they don't have a burner to take pressure off the short passes. I don't think they need to rebuild I just think they need another WR deep threat and to upgrade the safety position. This season was looking good for a hot second but as usual raiders can't sustain it.

The Mayock-Gruden early round draft picks have absolutely destroyed their organization. They've missed on nearly all of them. Ruggs looked promising, but he's obviously no longer there. They ignored all signs on Arnette - another first rounder - and took him anyway, only to cut him two years later. Josh Jacobs, Clelin Ferrell, and Jonathan Abram were also all first rounders that have also underperformed their draft stock either marginally (Jacobs) or significantly (Abram, Ferrell). PJ Hall was a second rounder; he's no longer there. Arden Key, Lynn Bowden (traded before ever playing a snap), and Tanner Muse (cut) were all third rounders who never amounted to anything.

Over the last four drafts, they have Kolton Miller, Maxx Crosby, and Trayvon Mullen to show for it.

They’ll beat the Cowboys with no Amari and possibly no Lamb

When Mayock gets fired, does he ever get taken seriously again as a "Draft Expert" on TV?

He sure will because he'll have experience as a GM instead of a mere talking head. All he's gotta say in interviews is Gruden ran the draft room for the misses and take credit the gems.

As far as the Raiders season, it was sunk once Gruden resigned. Not saying he was going to lead them to the playoffs, but rarely does a midseason coaching change save the season. Still have the same personnel and presumably a similar coaching philosophy in place.

I like the Raiders on Thanksgiving but that has more to do with the Cowboys than the Raiders

Would you rate that as worse than the Lions' last four drafts?

Mac Jones is the first good first round pick the Patriots have made since 2012 and they’ve still managed to make the playoffs every year except the Cam disaster

Definitely -- I would consider two of their last four first-rounders (Hockenson, Ragnow) as hits and one (Sewell) as a likely hit. Okudah had a rough first year, but we never really got to see him this season before he tore his Achilles. D'Andre Swift looks like a good second rounder. Their 2021 draft class looks especially promising.

Even without Cooper and Lamb, Cowboys should win easy. The running game and underneath pass plays should be there for them all day. Great opportunity for Dallas to let out some steam after a rough offensive outing against the Chiefs last week. Raiders, especially Carr, have been abysmal. I don’t see anything changing for them.

Raiders season is back on. I see a Wild Card berth at the minimum.

AFC West owns the Cowboys.

Nah man...

Carr is undefeated this season if he throws over 300 yds. Hunter Renfrow was crucial, after Waller went out of the game.

I believe Carr put up around 375 yds on the Cowboys, not to mention all of those PI calls D. Jackson got off of Brown

such a dumb post lol. They were 5-5 and 1-2 game back of the wild card with 7 to play. how are they "officially" done? I don't think you know what that word means lol. Plus they won last night they are very much in the thick of things.

1/2 game out of Wild Card in a season where no team has separated themselves from the pack and could be in a wild card spot at the end of this week depending on what happens tomorrow. I hope the players have a more positive outlook than OP and they’re not booking their golf trips yet.
