I'll continue my Vides set but the Mantle just doesn't do it for me.

Including today's, I am 11 for 22 on Project 70 Mantle cards.

It's really disappointing that we now have at least one artist who officially isn't going to meet their commitment. It is equally, if not more disappointing, that Topps has provided zero communication about who this new artist is replacing, how many cards they will have, what the impact on the artist print is, etc. Also regarding card 634, the SoleFly Ohtani, other than Topps letting us know we will be getting a refund (which still hasn't happened yet), there has been no mention as to whether or not they will fill that gap with a different card or whether the set will now be 1,019 cards as opposed to 1,020. Clearly SoleFly is still around because they have already had another card released subsequent to that one. I really like this Project, or at least I really liked the concept at the beginning, but the tactical management has been so bumbled. It is sad to see really -
Topps is a company that is one of the first brands of any kind that I supported with my own money - even in the late 70s as a little kid. To see the writing on the wall as the end draws near for their baseball run it really leaves me feeling a bit hollow.

I like that Topps went to one of Toy Tokyo's guest artists to seemingly replace someone who dropped. Good move. Hopefully we hear from them who he's replacing.

They haven’t managed an error-free run of the the Home Run Challenge yet, in four attempts. I’d moderate your expectations.
(I love the HRC, and bought heavily into it for Cubs for the 2019 season. But they’ve screwed up cards in it every year so far.)

Sket One posted on the Facebook page that he wasn’t told specifically who he was replacing but he does have 13 designs lined up which is what Action Bronson had left

Action Bronson has been MIA since July 6. He's probably out. I'm sure we will see a few more new artists because Action not the only MIA artist.

Devers has never played a game in OF in his career. Maybe this will be a valuable error card in the future! Or maybe Devers is moving to OF next year and Taylor knows something we don't. Maybe we see Casas at 1B, Dalbec at 3B and Devers in LF next year.

They can’t tell you because it’s likely they don’t know. That’s a later problem not a now problem.

Their customer engagement is terrible. They seem fine pretending P70 is just moving along as planned. Nothing to see here.

For those that have a Thiele Mantle in hand, how much darker is it than the online image?

I ask because I like Thiele's Aaron, but concerned the printed version might be too dark. The Mantle seems similar to the Aaron color-wise.

I would prefer not to assume and we shouldn’t have to.

I also don’t find a shared poster appealing and it would look ridiculous with 7 1971 Yankees and 13 bright colored Sket’s.

Quite a bit in my opinion. Card 100 on my listing you can see it ... if you'd like me to try to take a few pics under different lighting with another card in the listing, I'd be happy to so you can see relatively how it looks. Like I also have efdot's mantle if you'd like to see them together. Can also scan them with doc scanner, card details look fuzzy but lighting is at least uniform.
