Van Lier was young - only 61

Johnny Kerr looked very old and feeble when they did the tribute for him a couple of weeks ago - you could tell that he did not have long...

Yeah, you knew Kerr was going to pass soon, still a very sad day/weekend.

I was very happy about the Tribute though, Johnny said it was the happiest day of his life.

Very sad day. I thought it was pretty fitting that it rained all day yesterday here in Chicago. It seemed to set the mood. I'm too young to remember either of these guys in their playing days but I grew up in the Jordan era listening to Johnny when Jordan hit the shot from the freethrow line in Cleveland. Then jordan did it again in Cleveland when he made his come back and Johnny screaming "he did it again!". The tribute that the bulls did for Johnny a few weeks ago was really something special, and he just makes you feel proud to be a bulls fan when he spoke. Norm was a guy I loved watching in the post game wrap up shows. He was never afraid to tell it like it is and come down on a player when they weren't giving it their all. He didn't always make everybody happy but that's because he was as ferious behind the interviewer's desk as he was on the court. My thoughts and prayers go to both of their familes. They will both be missed greatly.

Great post in my opinion.
