I don't see prices going down for quite some time... the card manufacturers aren't going to lower the prices to $19 a blaster when they can get $25-30 especially since they are losing the licenses soon. They want to maximize profits and that cost flows to us.

It's not just that, but old crap product just sits at high prices still.

Look at all the 2019 product. That draft class looks horrible now outside Kyler Murray, yet they still have it up for a crapton.

2019 Heritage for $100+ a box

2019 Donruss baseball for $250 a box

2018 stadium club blasters for $80

2018 Classics football for $300 a box

2017 Prizm Blaster boxes for $1200 lol

2017 Update for $250

2016 Baseball products are pretty high and not sure to be honest who was big rookies this year

2013/2014/2015 football product just sits

Funny part is I clicked on a product to see what the key rookies were for products pre-2010, and the highlighted players were barely all-stars. I get it for newer product if they have a few talented players RC, but stuff that has the basically no chase cards is crazy to me.

I just saw they have 2001 Bowman Chrome baseball for only $2200.

Pujols and Ichiro were redemptions in this, the only draw for this set. That is straight up laughable.

2009 Bowman Draft for $7,000 is a great opportunity to either be rich or get kicked in the balls by the 21 other signers.

That isn't even a hobby box. Retail. chrome autographs are 1:5 boxes.

Now everybody thinks they can get more money, so that $300 case turns into $700. And it still sits there.

I mean, why do they offer the same stuff...every black friday? Because they have loads of it and it hardly sells. You would think they would actually try to move the product out instead of raising the price on dead stuff.

Also, deals started already?
This has always puzzled me. From a theoretical business standpoint, inventory sitting on the shelf costs money. The longer it sits, the value decreases until it actually has a negative value. Why not just list all these items that have been on sale for $1? You would foster goodwill to your customers and move crappy product to make room for valuable product.

I almost bought a lot of the 2009 UD Signature Stars two or three years ago on the Black Friday sales and kind of regretted not doing it. I just looked and the boxes are up to $150, lol. Wow.

Looks like they go for $100 or more so seems decent. But, hard to pay that knowing what they went for at MSRP not so long ago. I completely forgot I still have some in the sealed collection.

Pretty sure they were originally $10. And the refractors had a lot of problems being cut short. Not sure if that was a retail only thing or not.

Yes, I think that's right. Believe they were $10. This was before the pandemic hit and everything went crazy and MSRPs were inflated. I don't recall on the condition. I only opened a few of the value packs I bought.

I've brought this up before, I believe they are losing money by just letting crap product take up inventory.

Every year they offer like 2008 Bowman Chrome for $30 a box, I thought heck, why not include that if they spent a certain threshold in product. Spend $300? Get a free box of 2008 Bowman Chrome.

It's laughable that they have INCREASED the cost of some of this product over the years, like 2009 UD Sig Series that used to be way affordable, but laughable at $100+ a box.

Like 2013 football products, if they still have any, just keep dropping the price until it sells. I don't see any point in having these products listed for so much with such a horrible draft class.

Yeah it's amazing how things have changed, I first got back into cards 8 or so years ago, and I also recall loading up on Black Friday and or the pre-waves and it was so enjoyable. I could spend $800 and have a mountain of product to just have fun and bust. Now I hate to say it but I don't really pay much attention.......

I’m in the same boat. I don’t even look at the “black November” listings anymore.

Nothing I see in this first wave. Last year had some banging deals. 2016 Topps Update mega boxes and 2019 Heritage High Number mega boxes. Flipped them for 4x just a few months later.

I can’t remember all, but in light of current pricing, I had a ton of deals.

The two that stick out most is 2013 and 2014 Topps Heritage update sets at $40 a pop.

2019 Heritage High Number monster boxes for $100 not a bad deal. They were $40 last November and I flipped most of mine for $150-160 in the spring.

2016 Topps Update mega boxes at $40 also a sneaky good deal. Some undervalued rookies in that product (Trevor Story, Tim Anderson, etc.)
