Wouldn't be shocked if boxes have been opened and those individuals are buying up boxes knowing what the contents are. NOT ME... sadly I don't have any in hand yet.

Instead of making snide remarks (which seems to be your specialty), why don't you make a counterargument as to why actual soccer collectors (as opposed to flippers/investorbois) would want this product?

Because I'm sure you know so much more about the soccer card market than people like YayNJ and myself who have been collecting soccer cards for 30 years.....

I don't pretend to be the "official soccer collector" (that's your wording, not mine)....but I am more knowledgeable about the soccer card market than probably 95% of the people posting on this thread.

And anybody who is buying this at $200+/box and thinks they're going to be able to stash it and/or flip it for a huge profit down the road is in for a rude awakening. The majority of the people buying this are non-soccer collectors looking for a quick flip.

I never said that it didn't have value...I'm just arguing that it doesn't have anywhere near the long-term value that its current price is suggesting.

All the activity happening around the release is just flippers flipping to other flippers. I'm not reading too many posts about how gorgeous the cards are or how much people are looking forward to opening their boxes. I'm reading mostly about profit potential and flipping. That's not going to sustain itself very long. As soon as the next product comes out, everyone will forget about this one.

And yes the soccer card market has been invaded by a lot people new to the sport/hobby during the pandemic. But most of those people are more interest in profits than soccer cards....their interest in soccer cards it largely limited to the profit potential....and as soon as that profit potential decreases or disappears, they'll move on to something else.

I don't know where you are getting 50% profit right now but if you paid $200 a box + shipping and sold for the current $300 on Ebay you aren't sniffing 50% profit. You might get lucky walking away with $60 a box and most listings I've seen are free shipping.

There is almost ZERO buzz about this from soccer collectors. High end guys and breakers are even making fun of it as a product but you are right it does have some value. The biggest thing going for it right now and why there could be value is there is no new soccer product at all so it may take advantage of that.
