Yes, they announced yesterday in the Discord that 2nd edition will hit in December. I do wonder how sure they are of the date with delays and everything. Every trading card game out there, except Magic IIRC, has had delays recently. I'm just gonna be happy to be able to get some cards to play with.

New to magic... does this devalue the current CN booster boxes and theme decks? Or is it like comics where it's clearly delineated that it's a second printing?

If it’s like MTG, it’ll drive prices of first edition up. The goal should be to get the game in as many hands as possible while keeping the collecting aspect of it alive.

1st edition will sky rocket if the 2nd edition goes up and sells out

Haha, I don't think unlimited will sell out but I'm sure there'll still be a good amount of demand for it.

Oh I am sure it will sell out most likely he will only print 50k boxes and people will be all over it

Currently all the metazoo cards released have a 1st Edition stamp on them.

The rare, Kickstarter cards, also have the 1st Ed Stamp on them, as well as a green K stamp, signifying they are the very rare Kickstarter 1st edition cards.

The 2nd edition printed cards, we assume, will be stamped 2nd edition.

So it will be easy to see on the card, pack or box which edition it is.

Much like OG pokemon cards.

I marked the picture of this mothman holo with blue circles, indicating where the 1st edition stamp is on the cards and the kickstarter stamp.

They will probably just remove the 1st edition stamp like WOTC did for Pokemon and Yu-Gi-Oh does currently for their unlimited releases. I'll buy a few boxes for my nephews and nieces to see if they like playing it but from a collector standpoint 1st Edition will be where it's at for the initial releases of this.

I still don't see the numbers in interest for people to really be into this game though. The main subreddit is under 2k people, official FB page is 1.5k and the discord is I think around 9k. All the MetaZoo Youtubers seems to have very low views and subscribers outside the one SCI video.

This feels like a lot of craziness coming from very few people that is driving a perception that this has mass appeal. I'm just not seeing it other than a few thousands people screaming HERE TAKE MY MONEY for any promo, merchandise or apparel that they make and losing their minds at NYCC.

The Unlimited run needs to be readily available to drive interest in people that want to play the game in order for 1st Edition to keep increasing in value especially if the cards are critical to the Meta.

CN boxes are already dropping in price as people switch to interest in NF so I think the next few weeks is good time to buy CN especially if you didn't get in on NF early.

Called Topps on the order I made 9/30 today. Not shipping until DECEMBER! Did I just miss that before...I thought this was shipping much sooner than that. It's all good...just wondering.

The product details noted shipping in 30+ business days. So yeah, I think that means sometime in December if not in early 2022. Possible could be shipped earlier but with the holidays and shipping delays December is a good estimate.

I haven't seen any Nightfall singles for sale really. I see all this excitement over getting boxes and a bunch for sale and sold on ebay but no actual singles..

A lot got delayed, I know a good bit of stores who haven't even gotten their stock yet. I do see a good bit sold in my FB groups.

Whelp got my first cancel order request since prices for the Topps boxes are down and the buyer bought on release day when they were up... he claims he "didn't know it was a presale and has been waiting for over a month for his boxes"...yeah right. Suppose I have to bite the bullet and give a refund eh?

I received one cancellation as well for a handful of boxes because the person said their refrigerator broke (if true perfectly legit reason IMO). I'm kind of glad because I'd like to open some after learning more about MZ as well as stash a box or two for long term.

I purchased my Nightfall product at MSRP (I live within reasonable distance of some game stores that sell it for MSRP). There's a lot of local demand for it and enforced daily/weekly/monthly limits by the game stores.
