Voters would have to really value the wins.

Like Ray, you really have to go under the hood with their records.

Urias has 17(!) starts where he's gone fewer than 6 innings. In 11 of those, he didn't get an out in the 6th inning. And he's got an 8-3 record in those starts.

I believe Urias has the highest run support in the league. This game didn’t change that

Try arguing that with Dodgers fans. Lots think we failed this year and Roberts is the worst manager in baseball.

I think even non-Dodgers fans think they failed this year. But we all believe he’s the 2nd worst behind Alex Cora.

True or False:

Julio Urias will be the final 20-game winner in MLB history.

He will be the only 20 game winner and lowered his ERA to 2.96. He upped his chance for sure and Burnes destroyed his chances.

Will be interesting to see how this pans out.

so Buehler goes tomorrow for LA, he’s in the driver’s seat or has a hand on the wheel.

20-3 with a 2.96 era

hes winning it unless Buehler comes through tomorrow.

Uh, no, that'd be the other should-have-been-banned-for-life known cheater currently managing a Major League team.
They run 1 & 1A.

True, and tonight, they scored one more than usual for him.
Still, it wasn't his fault when deGrom's team didn't hit for him but it is a negative against against Julio that his team hits for him?
Bo-kay.

Burnes (2.43) and Scherzer's (2.46) ERAs are locked in at 1-2.
Just eyeballing it, but it looks like Buehler (2.49) can win the MLB ERA title basically with 2 earned in 8 innings, 1 earned in 5, or perhaps even 0 earned in 3.

I think the Silver Sluggers and Gold Gloves, ROY, and Reliever awards all still have their place, but because the success/failure of those playing alongside the contenders for them so often profoundly affects these players chances of winning the CYA/MVP, perhaps those particular individual awards should just be retired.

Lol. Urias doesn't win = Retire the Cy Young.

It doesn't matter to me personally who wins.
I don't have any rare Urias cards, I sold my Scherzer flagship rookie some time ago, and my best Buehler is an on-demand Mini RC #/10 I have no plan to part with in any event.
If it were a Dodger, we'd get a cool stadium giveaway bobblehead of the player holding their award (as they've done with Kershaw and Bellinger recently), so that's something, I guess...
