I turn into ESPN and they're doing an interview with Billie Jean King over the game feed.

So, um... Buehler is currently slated to pitch Game 162.
![]() You talk about potential rotation slot changes.. Wow, do the Dodgers have decisions to make, or what? |

In the standings - I agree - but it was also a meaningless game in the Cy Young race a few hours ago. Now it's not.
Buehler was always going to have the inning advantage on Scherzer. With another start, not only can he build on that, but he even has a chance to end up with a lower ERA. |

I can't wait to see dork wake up to see this. He is going need to do some serious greasing of his predictor.. That thing might just explode. This race is NUTS!

Have a feeling Burns slips in at the wire. Advanced metrics officially arrive.

I don't know. They seem to not favor extra rest unless they think it's necessary for that pitcher. If they chose not to skip Buehler when he was struggling, I'm not sure they'd want to skip him after a good one. Unless they do that to have him available in the WC game, it'd be 2x usual rest for the NLDS (8 days). A lot of that would be what their confidence in Scherzer is right now.
There's also the possibility they're 1 back on Sunday, and the Giants win. That's the beauty of having every game start at the same time. |

Jays took Cole to the woodshed last night.
Seems to me that Robbie Ray can't possibly lose this now. |

The NL race is probably the craziest since the 2015 NL race, just in a completely different way. Everyone backing into it.
Buehler faded Scherzer fading Wheeler solid but coming up short where it counts (e.g. ERA) Burnes the best of the bunch but barely enough innings to qualify What a mess |

There are going to be plenty of voters who feel otherwise.
If Buehler would have finished his regular season when he got to 165 innings, he would have won the award. Greater risk of bad outings when you have 40 more innings on your arm.

If Burnes doesnt pitch again...which im not sure if they will or not since i dont think they need to...the they are both done and you still have Max with the lead in:
IP WHIP K Wins-- yea deGrom won with his low number...but his numbers were crazy...burnes 11W and its not like he tossed 220inn and just couldnt get the wins...165inn and 11W I say Max is still in the lead and will still Win--If burnes was to go again and throw up another 7inn 10k 0er start then he might get past him... or they put him out there just to get some work...and he goes 4ip with a couple ER and his ratios tick up slightly...who knows... Max Buehler Burnes Wheeler i think that is how it goes at end of day....Buehler has almost 40 more innings than burnes and they are relatively close on other stats... |
